That is a very interesting point. It can be very easy to see one or two things change, and assume one causes the other. While it's true that they are correlated (as one goes up, so does the other), the real cause was a hidden third variable - time of year. More people go to the beach during summer, and as such, buy more ice cream and fall victim to more shark attacks. It's all very interesting, and I appreciate your perspective. Masks disappeared, people stopped giving a shit, the protests were the only thing spoken of. Testing stations had damn near no one heading to them.
