It depends on where I'm going. If I go to a barber shop (which is were I usually go), it's a barber. If I go to a hair salon (which is my backup for when the barber shop is closed), it's a hair stylist (even though I don't get my hair styled, just cut).

I used to just call her by her name since my when family used the same lady. Now I say "the haircut lady" if I go to this one lady, or just Great Clips if I want a cheap easy haircut.
