No, it just rains a lot. So, not much sun. Vampires dislike the sun.

Hm is it a Pacific Northwest thing? Apparently the legend of bigfoot is around there as well, so maybe it has something to do with that? Just saw some pictures and that entire part of the states is just gorgeous scenery with a ton of mountains and trees and rivers and stuff, are people just living in fresh air there every day?

Twilight vamps don't care about the sun. it's one of the major reasons the series gets so much hate. the vampires in Twilight can walk in the sun and nothing happens except their skin sparkles.

You're missing Twin Peaks. A supernatural mystery show set in a small Washington logging town. Predates both things you mentioned by a good 20 years.

The pacific northwest inspired the Riften/Falkreath areas of Skyrim, and those are mostly considered the most beautiful areas of the game

I haven't actually read the books, but don't they want to keep it a secret that they sparkle? I mean, just because they don't spontaneouly combust, that doesn't mean they want to reveal themselves either.

I have always seen that emoji as displaying some manner of lightheartedness which is weird to pair with a question about suicide

iZombie claims to take place in Seattle but I dont think any of the filming actually took place here. Not sure where they filmed Twin Peaks.

There was a show called Northern Exposure in the early 90's that did film in a tiny mining town called Roslyn and they still have sets from the show on display in the town.

Yeah tons of shows set in "Seattle" are actually filmed in Vancouver, that's super common.

This is the big reason for it. Vancouver along with LA and Atlanta is one of the big three cities in North America for filming. It is also the cheapest making it a common filming location for more niche genre shows. Seattle is the biggest US city that has the most similar weather and environment as Vancouver. So it is easy to claim that is where they are. Otherwise you get issues like the Flash has, which is supposed to take place in Missouri despite looking nothing like Missouri in environment or land features.

also the American "The Ring" took place in WA. certain parts of WA kinda look creepy, in part cause of the dreary weather. but yea also, almost everything that takes place in WA is actually filmed in BC

Pretty sure a lot of shows/movies film in Canada either for tax reasons or because it's cheaper

She discovers that if she doesn't periodically eat brains, she'll turn into one of the classical, mindless Romero zombies. So she takes a job at a morgue to eat the brains of the autopsy patients. When she eats a brain, she gains the personality traits of the deceased and periodic flashes of memories. She uses those to help solve murder cases.

It's this amazing serialized show with great characters and great performances that makes you really care about both the story and characters, starring Rose mciver, who was an absolute delight to watch onscreen.

The best way that I always used to like to describe it is that as someone who dislikes zombies and detests all zombie related media which I've never had any interest in, this show absolutely captivated me. That's how good it is.

iZombie is also from the same guy as Veronica Mars. So it has a sort of similar vibe. I'd say iZombie is overall better since they managed to keep a consistent vision across the whole show.

While the dreariness of Washington State make it a good location for dark things, most stuff is set there for this reason.

There was a thing in the movie where they mention the "dad" checks all the "kids" out of school on sunny days ostensibly to take them hiking and shit but actually to avoid that.

My HS girlfriend made me watch the first one in theaters.

She never put out but still managed to fuck me.

I didn't know iZombie had a following. In fact I thought it died a short while after Flash and all the other DC shows became a thing, mainly because I think Flash stole its timeslot after Arrow.
