Which one of you guys made the poll today? Donkey Kong 64 is trash and Banjo-Kazooie isnt a real Nintendo 64 game. Not putting Star Fox 64 on there is inexcusable.

It was different enough. And had a sequel. Its a collectathon game rather than a Mario clone, though. Plus, transformation and special moves. I think its fine to have it as a contender. That being said, I do think Star Fox should also be there. But 64 had a bunch of good games. In the end, they cant put all of them. Someone was going to be mad either way...

Not remotely. BK was incredibly well designed and original, and offered a notably different experience from SM64 (a focus on exploration and collection over platforming). It's easily on par with SM64, and in some ways is substantially better (though Tooie's even better). In no way is it a "cheap knockoff" any more so than every other mascot platformer collectathon from that era (and there were a lot of those) was.

Honestly, while it deserves points for nostalgia, it's really hard to go back and play MK64 after all these years. The overall physics just feel so awkward compared to even Double Dash (let alone sequels that refined it even further), and in a racing game, that's pretty crippling. I had no shortage of good times with it back in the day, certainly, but now it doesn't even make the list of games that I'd consider reconnecting my N64 to play.

Also 2 Zelda options? Majoras Mask is easily the worst 3D Zelda with the whole timer gimmick. I enjoyed Skyward Sword more than it even with the Wii mote controls. Whoever made the poll was just lazy.

Never played MM on the N64, I did later on the Wii thou, I found it more enjoyable than TP

I've never understood the people that hate MM because of the timer, especially to the point of disliking the game as a whole because of it. It's an incredibly forgiving time limit (especially once you slow it down) and you can repeat the cycle as many times as you want/need to get everything done. Even within dungeons, there are plenty of points that effectively act as checkpoints in that you don't lose that progress on resetting (namely getting major items), so you don't even have to rush through them in a single cycle if you aren't up to the task.

Even after I beat the game, I've read through the guides. It says that you could/should reset after opening the dungeon and getting the closest owl statue. That way, you have a full three slow days to complete it. And would tell you to put all you money in the bank before resetting. And to get to the world back to normal, you could beat the boss again and stuff. I never had a problem with the timer, tbh...
