love the idea and if i won the lottery 100% would buy one to live on.

WELL found one that's 6.1mil usd. Princess Y85. Normally princess is the luxury commercial brand that thinks of everything. Well the 2020 model sleeps eight plus three crew, but the dining table sits 6. Talk about a boat breaking oversight.

Wouldn't fit i would think. Plus most of them are installed into the boat itself. Surprisingly most of these high end yachts come fully furnished. Even plates and utensils.

Only thing you have to buy, if you want one that it, is a tender.

Even if you had the 6.1 million to buy one upkeep and paying for a crew on these things is no joke. There is a reason that luxury yachts are mostly owned by the richest people in the world.

This one doesn't really require a crew. Two people can manage it. The slip at the nearest marina for a boat this size is less than what I am buying for my place. So the purchase of the yacht would be the bulk and taken care of with a lottery win.

The biggest expense for owner/operator yacht is insurance and internet. Granted if you are docked most of the time you don't need internet, but if you plan on going and living off of the coast at times you will need internet and it is astronomically expensive, like even so much more than you are thinking now. Even higher than that.

If you have about 3.2 million you can live on a cruise ship.

Not hard really, just invest 30k a year for 30 years. Or 15k a year for 40 years.

Docking taxes/fees, crew salaries, stocking supplies. I am sure there are other expenses youd have to worry about.

For me, id like one that the captains cabin is off the wheel house, and had 3/4 crew cabins on the lower deck.
Master cabin on the main level, and another 4/5 guest cabins. And has engines that are capable to do trans ocean

I feel like yachts and boats take way too much $$$$$ to maintain even after purchasing them

even if I was loaded af I think Id rather have some cool off the grid sustainable compound or a sweet underground shelter compared to a yacht

Yeah, a small crew youre looking at around 250k a year in salaries. Add in Docking and fuel that could add another 100k a year

Well obviously you don't want the filthy crew to eat with the actual people of class. And honestly, when's the last time anyone in modern times (at least in Western culture) actually sat down at a table with the entire family to eat a shared meal, apart from mandatory holiday situations?

I can't even remember the last time I actually ate a meal in my dining room, let alone one where the seats were all filled.

tbh, I haven't been that interested in yachts ever since learning about the carry cost on a yacht. It makes the property tax on a mansion look tame.
