So the /vg/ league has been going on, and most of the gacha game teams got knocked out in the group stage. /gfg/ (Girls Frontline) and /gbpen/ (BanG Dream Girls Band Party) are fighting for their lives in the survival rounds, and shockingly, /revue/ (Revue Starlight ReLIVE) was the only gacha team to do well enough in the group stage to clinch a spot in the main tournament without needing to go through the survival rounds. It's their debut tournament, but they're destroying people's expectations and busting people's brackets.

These games are actually pretty fun to watch too.

I mean, getting maximum risk is challenging and requires you to have at least some high-tier characters, but the way that the event is set up, doing it at maximum difficulty isn't necessary to get a large portion of the rewards. Like, here's a guy doing it at Risk 12/18, which should be something like 80-85% of the bounty from the permanent stage (not including challenge contracts) with nothing but 3* characters:

They have extra sanity pots for the duration of the event too so it's easier to upgrade your characters.

I think you should just upgrade all 3* characters since there's always gonna be a video showing how to clear stages with only them lol. That's the one downside to whaling in this game. I get my favorite units but they're expensive and tend to not work well with the YouTube strategies :<

On second thought, maybe not...Apparently, Crownslayer's dad was a scientist who was working on shady stuff, and Misha's dad and Kal'tsit snitched on him, leading to his arrest and eventual death. Crownslayer already killed Misha's dad, so I imagine she wouldn't want to work with Kal'tsit :<

It's odd that you have so few 4*, an individual roll in the gacha has a 50% chance of giving you a 4*, on top of the single guaranteed 5* every banner. Arknights is kind of stingy with weekly rolls tbf but there's a lot for going through the story and events and whatnot. Though I think part of the point of using all 3* is that you could replace them with higher-rarity versions and still get the job done. ie you could replace Cardigan with Gummy or Nearl, regular Defenders like Cuora might work too.

and you get 65 Shop Vouchers a week from missions (plus a couple more from login rewards) and Ethan costs 150, you shouldn't even need to devote Sanity to farming them for him.

I feel the need to defend the CC event because I really like it and I have a friend who started like a month ago and has done decently in it, but all that aside, if you haven't been having fun with the game for awhile then yeah, no need to play it.

It's more like if you play both games, you get a ton of goodies. Some of the more effort required rewards actually require you to play either game a decent amount. 100k VP is not exactly that simple to get in a day without macros. I heard VgZero is massive right now in Japan, so I guess there might be more collabs with other Bushiroad games in the future

This is where Ultimate Madoka originally debuted in the timeline for the JP server, but of course #NATempo brought her to us five months early. There's also a re-run of Ashley Taylor, the English server exclusive magical girl, coming on the 29th, as well as a bunch of other goodies like:

- free magia stones and free 10x pulls in the Premium Fate Weave
- bonus magia stones given when you buy a magia stone bundle with real money

They have a lot of themes at this point but possibly yeah. Bushiroad has put a lot of effort into VG openings in general. VG op 2 and I think 7-8 in the original are probably amongst my favorite op in anime of all time

okay today's CC mission was admittedly kinda bs

Only managed to get 5 risk and that took quite a few tries. Basically all the conditions involve significantly buffing enemies so actually surviving the initial rush is extremely difficult, seems like Specter/Chen are almost required for higher risk levels.

Yeah I actually had to remember to space out my operators so they don't die in clumps from the casters, though for awhile now it felt like I was just creating a pattern of replacing operators as they go dead

I did actually try and see if I could do it without using Specter/Saria/Chen by using Gravel and Red as caster fodder while my snipers did their work, it actually worked well enough lol, looked something like this: https://s7.gifyu.com/images/D11.jpg

Ah, I had a similar-ish setup with Lappland in Siege's position, but I had trouble killing the enemies fast enough when they started sending the huge waves of dogs, Ifrit would've been a good pick there (assuming I could scrounge up the DP).

And interesting, I think that's earlier than I was expecting for Nian. She's definitely the harder to get of the two and has a more appealing design imo, but she's ultimately "just" the best pure tank in the game, but Blaze looks stronger. Once her 2nd skill is charged she's basically a Ranged Guard with lower range but much better stats and the ability to hit 3 enemies at once. And she doesn't have to worry about losing her DPS like Lappland or Silverash either.

idk, it'll be a tough decision to make unless I get lucky and get Blaze on an early roll. Expecting similarly tough decisions once Granblue's Summer stuff gets going, hoping for Summer Pholia/Ferry this year finally

also today's stage wasn't too bad, holding the backline with just Vanguards/Specialists is reasonably doable but killing the air units was actually harder since some Bombtails managed to sneak through with the health bonus.

Yeah the limited banners have a 70% rate of getting the featured 6-stars so your 6-star only has a 35% shot of being the one you want
Aside from being a top qt Weedy seems actually decently useful on regular maps, combined with Angelina and/or other pushers (She even brings another herself) her S3 becomes a bona fide instant damage nuke

I swear, I'm starting to think that Battle Divas can actively recognize when I'm thinking of quitting the game and then gives me something to try and convince me to stick around. After four days of relentlessly grinding the Hatsune Miku collaboration event in my return to Revue Starlight ReLIVE (I actually managed to get the special memoir maxed out!) and basically ignoring my other two games besides to collect log-in bonuses, today BD decides to randomly give me the last piece I needed to complete the White Empress equipment set. I'm still not going to do much in BD for a while considering that The Last Magia is starting tomorrow in Magia Record (the fact that MagiReco had an off week with no events before the anniversary helped me put even more time into ReLIVE) and that'll be my top priority... but at the very least I'm not giving up on BD and uninstalling it yet.

iirc Anni 3 should be better than Anni 2 as far as Sanity goes (I think it takes one less run a week to max Orundum? which should save time too), but Autodeploy screws it up a lot.

Kind of a dick move honestly, and part of the reason I got into Arknights was because that I liked the yellow cert system but they only ever seem to do that for characters that were in the game when it started, not for new ones, let alone limiteds...

and yeah, CC definitely favorite event, so I'm glad they're doing more with it in the future

My original goal was to at least 2-slot her, which I managed to do after 164 rolls without being spooked by a different 4-star magical girl. I kept going, reached pity the third time around, avoided being spooked, and then I emptied the remainder of my stash and got nothing. After I complete my daily missions and grind the materials to awaken her, I'll have enough stones for one last 10-roll to see if I can pull a miracle and 4-slot her.

yeah, I doubt they will for Limiteds, they seem to be designed for whales (or very lucky people) only

The maid/butler robots in the BD event only spawns other robots if you bring them below 45% hp I believe. It was 35 or 45%, which we would freaking know if there were tooltips saying so. They can also only take a max of 33% of their hp. The arena itself also spawns some robots every few turns. Basically if you have a bunch of pokes instead of straight up damage, but your character doesn't have multi-step attacks, you're screwed. Yoori's individual attacks are a bit too weak however, and obviously Shion/Sigurd/Fuma/Leg girl are pretty bad choices. If you have Sarah's beginners mission weapon, she's decent for this event due to having a 2 parter attack but needs a lot of time to ramp up.

If you happen to have the 2-3 step aoe attack weapons for Helen, these stages become so much easier. I'm lucky enough to have her 3x3 attack that attacks like 3 steps and does around 30% of their hp per step, so I can solo this stage, but it sounds agonizing for people who don't. It's simply possible to not have the tools whatsoever to beat this side story. It'd be nice to at least know all the gimmicks so you can plan around it, but oh well. Gacha games usually skimp out and the community usually steps up but there isn't much of a community for this game.

I did get Sarah's set from the final beginners mission thing, and I gotta say, she's really good. She's made all the Fire break stages much easier. But finishing some of those missions can be pretty agonizing. Getting a weapon to +6 mods took a whole lot of stam potion and running macro for hours

Puzzle & Dragons released a PAD Pass, 8.99 US bucks per month. Basically just gives you a ton of stones and other pretty useful items, including one of those tokens you can exchange for 1 of 3 really good cards that are usually hard to roll. They also give daily dungeons with a ton of QOL items. Sadly still no auto feature but doing the dailies for PAD usually takes less than a minute, even with all those extra dailies. A free week trial is also available for people who don't want to do the pass but are willing to research the most optimal week to use it lul. Usually you can check the fan discord for more info.

Since these items are all extra stuff that you can get by without, and no core QOL features are locked to the pass, it's being well received by ppl who are willing to pay, since it's incredibly cost efficient compared to other options. Compare that to FEH pass, hoo boy
