I find it to be logical to not pay more for the same item. One time I was going to buy a winter coat for 30. In the store however I found one nice winter coat that I always get compliments on, a jacket and a nice shirt all on sale really cheap. These items collectively cost me 25. It seems like a no brainier to me. Gifts for other people I typically buy new, but I'll still price match to an extent. Grocery store shopping, I'm mostly a bargain shopper. I'm not picky so store brand is great, but I'll take advantage of sales and either get stuff I don't normally get, or I get more of it or I'm getting something "higher" quality. It helps me save money so when insurance is due, holidays are around, etc., I can spend money on it but not fret.
