She said he was being evicted because he let some kids who were protesting into his apartment one night as she shared the 29 y/o record producer's original post with 3.6 million followers He said after 5 years of working in his studio apartment and making countless records, he was given 30 days to get out and wrote "Why?there have been several instances at which i've let people spend the night in emergencies, the most recent being one of the 3 boys who were shot at by police on Monday. I'm not asking for a pity party or anything but i want to remind you to keep bringing awareness to what is happening to our people. Like NoMBE, Milla she has been supportive of the protest and although she hasn't attended any protests, she was outraged over the eviction of her good friend and wanted to spread accurate information pertaining to protest location/resources and voting. She made a powerful statement with a sign that said "I Can't Breathe" while the names of various african american victims of police brutality rested on the wall behind her She said "There are just a few names of the many African Americans who have been murdered by our so called justice system. This needs to stop NOW. We need to re educate our police officers to weed out the hateful ones. We need to demand for change in the way our government treats people of colour. The war on Drugs needs to be ended. This epidemic of privatized mass incarceration needs to end. We need to treat others as we would like to be treated.
