I've seen someone on my Steam list that's been popping into it from time to time, but can't remember who. I'm currently gearing up to fight the wall of death. Going to use meteor armor and a space gun on him. I've got molten armor, but hopefully the gun makes the fight pretty easy.

I played a fair bit on that easter egg seed last week, was really cool. Plan is to start a new playthrough with friends tomorrow. We'll try Master then probably later give up and restart on Expert.

empress of light is a really cool fight and the summoning weapon you get from beating her in the daytime is so sick

Haven't gotten any summoning items so far I think. Beat the wall of flesh, so I'm at hardmode, now I'll be able to get wings finally.

I've progressed to hardmode on my world. Still just playing on a normal world though. Wearing frost armor, bee wings, and using excalibur, beat all pre hardmode bosses except the bee. Only beat one hardmode boss so far, the destroyer. Seems to be the easiest. I gotta get a better option for ranged damage.

Surviving Mars is a great game.

Got my cell phone made today, so that's neat. Just need adhesive bandages to make my ankh shield, as well as needing a lava charm to hopefully finish up my boots. Already been tearing the cavern layer apart looking for the damn charm with no luck. Only two options for the bandage right now, which are angler wish and they're rare, and werewolves which I think only spawn on full moon nights, so that's a bummer.

I plan to abandon the world I'm currently in and move to a medium world I've made, but haven't entered yet. Just been tearing my current world apart lol. Haven't really done anything to combat the corruption and hallow spread, so it's all over and there's now way I'm fixing it at this point. Really wish I had the main world from my first guy. Hopefully I have a copy of it saved somewhere.

What summon weapons do you recommend? I'm currently wearing tiki armor and using an optic staff. Trying to get biome keys right now, have hallow, jungle, and frozen so far. I do have a pygmy staff, but the optic staff summons seem more versatile than the pygmies. I'm post plantera right now, but haven't taken on golem yet.

desert tiger staff is good, it + optic staff lasted me till pillars (upgrade your tiger to the highest tier possible and then spend the leftovers on optic). stardust dragon for bossing (and dense mobbing, like in pumpkin moon) and stardust cell for mobbing are both super fantastic then. terraprisma is AMAZING but lmao good luck getting it before you beat the final boss; you can TECHNICALLY try to go get it right now but her enrage attack patterns are such bullshit you'll want celestial car and really high offense

don't forget you can use a sentry too. whips are generally bad and you shouldn't really use them. as for armor, your only two upgrades are spooky armor (pumpkin moon) and stardust armor (pillars).

do make sure you get as many possible +summon things as you can btw. importance list is like papyrus scarab > necromantic scroll > pygmy necklace > celestial shell/stone > anything that gives +minion damage. wings are nice but actually unneeded once you can spawn martians (i think that's post golem?), because the celestial car is op

if you wanna end up playing this character for a while, work towards the new best sword in the game too, zenith. screw whips, zenith is the best for literally everyone. optimal summonering in terraria is just unlimited blade works

do you mean in 1.4 or in the ones that dropped a few days ago? 1.4 adds two new bosses, a lot of qol features, and teleport pylons

Cool! I'll have to play. Looks like there's new stuff to grind out!

For those wondering about torch stuff:

Initial 1.4: Had some mechanic that makes minor changes to drop rates based on whether you put the biome-specific torches in a given biome. This works both in positive and negative.

A little later 1.4: Community outcry, and they listen. So they remove all the NEGATIVE effects of the original 1.4 with regards to torches. You can now only get BONUSES from using the right torches, and there will no longer be any sort of bad effect from using the "wrong" torches (as such, even if you just use the "wrong" torch everywhere, you will be no worse off than you were before). The POSITIVE effects to drop rates and such ("torch luck") from using the right torches is still present, should you decide to do so. Its not huge, but its enough to be worth considering.

Most recent 1.4: Added a special event that happens if you cluster a bunch of any "wrong for this biome" torch in a small area. If you survive the event, you get an item. Using this item unlocks the ability to automatically convert a normal torch you place into the correct biome torch for that biome, making it much easier to get the positives without carrying around a bunch of different torches (and yes, you can then just break the converted torches to get the biome torch, despite placing a normal torch). You can toggle this ability on or off. Also, it only seems to affect normal torches, I think (though I personally have only tried normal and ultra-bright torches with it toggled on). Oh, and once you use the item, the event never happens again even if you use some nonstandard torch (or keep the new ability toggled off) to spam a place with "unfitting" torches. Maybe it never happens again if you just HAVE the item too and haven't used it. Not sure.

In short though, with the ability and it being toggled on you now can basically get ONLY bonuses from it now if you want without any real effort, so regardless its just a buff in the end, despite what some lingering cesspools in the Terraria community will say otherwise (as they seem to still just be miffed that any sort of penalty could ever have been applied, even though that is long gone).

We are like nowhere. Also we are awful at the game.

When the game started and we couldn't kill slimes, and died a whole bunch and then died to ghosts for a while and created a graveyard and didnt know what was going on and died some more. That. That was fun.

So I started up my old character and went to my main world and it turned out I had all but 3 of the swords already to make the new best one! So that should be a short grind. Is anyone hosting a multiplayer server?

Tried Skeletron Prime and beat him on the second try.... after an hour and 40 minutes or so of fighting him. It was so dumb.

You fought him through several days where he instant kills with his head?

Maybe I'll try out the master mode thing, is there anything fun from that new difficulty?

I'm willing to play but I never knew what I was doing and seems like it would be a timesink.
