A group of vigilante parents in an unknown American neighborhood were all shown BLOCKING the entrance to their street..including their CHILDREN as they were all seen holding AR-15 RIFLES where they claim they were guarding it from "looters" who come from the PROTESTERS!!

Footage was seen showing them blocking the street with their cars as residents started guarding their street incase looters came in as they did in many in the city stores though no looting in neighborhoods have been reported

A family passing by was recording them as they looked stone faced when being recorded. They saw at least 12 people including little kids holding rifles as one man had a military stle helmet, combat boots and pants.

An older woman in the car says "he has a gun in the black shirt" and another girl says "This is in bellevue", possibly referring to Bellevue, Washington.

As she turns around the older woman says "Look at all these white people. Look at them with their guns" as a young teen boy is also seen holding a rifle who says "Look at that little boy, he's a young man with a gun. He's like 16. This is child endangerment"

This is going on as America is still in unrest as Trump continues to stoke the flames while being a strongman against protests and threatens to use everything as his exposal to stop the protests after his recent gaffe that George Floyd is looking down on America and must be PROUD of the job numbers..

Do you think vigilante parents should be charged if they have their children on guard with guns?

While it's a valiant gesture, I'm not sure what they could legally do. I'm pretty sure they couldn't even legally block rioters/protestors from walking on their street -- any more than rioters/protestors can legally block roads -- so it's really just for show, unless the rioters/protestors start trespassing on their property or looting. Granted, if you know that a lot of people are around with guns, you're less likely to damage property or loot.

lolwut? Wanting to defend your homes isn't prejudiced or authoritarian and one protest group certainly isn't more authoritarian than the other... although this neighborhood watch is certainly less fascistic since, unlike the Antifa protestors who have shown up for BLM protests, they're okay with basic freedoms like free speech which many (if not most, judging from the violent protests to block people from just talking) Antifa members want to abolish.

So you're suggesting illegally restricting counter-protestors from having weapons while arming individuals who already have that right -- excluding the felons among them -- with weapons that are effectively banned in some of the protest states (and thus not possessed by counter-protestors)?

That said, I thought you supported the protestors. Why would you advocate giving them a very specific gun almost exclusively associated with terrorists, third-world despots, and anti-government armies? As I responded in the other topic, the AK-47 is seen as being almost synonymous with terrorism in many nations.

Isn't the better time/place to do that like a gun range though? Or at least not under circumstances where they're threatening people/actively protecting property.

This sounds more like a lighter version of 'trial by fire'. Doesn't seem like a safe way to teach kids gun safety.

But what do I know? One of my step dads was one of those 'let's just fire a semi automatic into the air for New Year's, here kiddo have fun pull the trigger'.

There definitely could have been better ways to introduce me to guns tbh...
