5.44: Apple Wedding - Treetrunks is getting married! For some reason Finn is tasked with keeping Lumpy Space Princess from "Crashing the wedding" (why would she do that?), and Treetrunks wants only the KING of Ooo to do the ceremony, which PBG has huge issues with. Have we ever met the King of Ooo? I mean, it stands to reason if she is a princess, there could be a king, but.... huh? The episode just spirals into everything going wrong, with LSP trying to BE the bride, and PBG crashing the "King's" Zeppelin into the wedding. It is bizarre and weird and... pretty much what you would expect from the show. Why does she hate King of Ooo? I mean, he seems like a sheister, but...

Funnily enough, when the king of OOO jumps out of the prison cell he screams "Kingofooo.com", which was an actual website, though IDK if it's still active

Get ready for s6 TC, it starts off with a bang! though it has some low points too, IMO.

Also, I still wonder what was up with "the future" at the end of Lemonhope

Me neither. I don't recall that ever being explicitly called out though, and doesn't CB have a heat shield while he's there? Did anyone on the AT team actually confirm this or is it just a fan theory?

It's a theory that I don't really buy into. CB is already shown to be far more intelligent/mature in Red Throne before getting hit with the fire.

If anything I've always thought his growth had more to do with simply being treated better by FP than Bubblegum. When FP suggest going to Peebs for help, he even says something like "Nah, she's devious".

I'd say the overall theme of the entire series is growing and maturing.

Yeah, that's how I always interpreted it as well.

I just went and watched the episode again, and yeah, it's legit as hell. There's a very apparent change in his appearance and demeanor after he gets blasted in the face with some fire. It's pretty obvious after a rewatch.

He was already acting much smarter than usual earlier in the episode, but the hit absolutely did change him.

Part of it is that just being in the hot-ass Fire Kingdom had started him off, the fireball to the face just finished him.

Personally, I think a combination of the two works. As Timohtep said, getting blasted in the face is absolutely meant to indicate that he finished cooking, but I think being treated better by FP helped him too.

It is a slice of life anime that focuses on 2 students who live next door to each other, and their efforts to help each other get into a relationship with their best friends. Not in like a sleazy way, but in a sweet "I really like them but I'm shy" sort of way.

SERIOUS SPOILERS! SERIOUSLY SERIOUS!

S6E1-2: Wake Up and Escape the Citadel - So.... uhm.... that was something. Between Prismo being killed, Lich proclaiming he is going to grow an army and destroy all light in the universe, melting the Citadel, to Finn's "dad" being a fucking scumbag piece of shit, to Finn finally losing that arm it seems he was destined to lose, and losing the Leaf Sword... that was a lot. If that is Finn's dad, that is perhaps one of the most disappointing things I've ever seen. Oh, also the Lich is kinda now a giant baby and with Treetrunks and Mr. Pig?! What in the holy fuck just happened? The pay off for this better be fucking good or else... well... I'm this far in, so no or else, but BOOOOO

S6E3: James II - We find out not all is well with James II... and III.... and IV... and V, etc. Nevermind when ORIGINAL JAMES comes to seek his... revenge? Maybe? Interesting episode to follow the two part season opener.

S6E4: The Tower - Feeling some sorta way about losing his arm to his cowardly father, Finn starts to grow a telekinetic arm from the stump. It was similar to his Leaf Sword becoming kinda like a mega-powerful leaf arm, and Lich telling him that he had amazing power. Finn decides to build a tower into space to find his dad, rip off his dads arm, and thus complete his revenge. Jake feels this is the natural way Finn needs to figure things out, while PBG is... against it. I find it interesting that PBG was scared about the level of power Finn could create, yet she is never worried about using Finn and his abilities to help her cause. I really do think she is low-key an antagonist.

S6E5: Sad Face - The worst episode of the series. What in the holy fuck is that? Instead of furthering the plot or doing anything significant, they do THAT?! Jake's tail has a mind of its own once a month and is part of a circus. Stupid shit happens and then it comes back, the end. Yuck.

S6 isn't all that great.

It has a few really good episodes, but this is when I have to say tough it out. S7 fucking bangs, it's well worth it

S6 is a strange season, but overall I don't like it much. They later try to build a plot but the payoff is really weird and anticlimactic

I feel like I want to curate a watch list of the good and relevant episodes. I feel you could cut out at least 40 episodes that are just not good or pointless.

I feel like even the low points of the series are absolutely worth watching tbh. Especially seeing as how they're still very short.

I would say in comparison to something like Steven Universe, AT feels way too long and aimless for a lot of episodes. I realize as a 36 year old man a lot of the humor, especially the earlier seasons, were not meant for me. Still, when watching the whole thing all at once it becomes overwhelming.

I get that. Adventure Time was meant with kids specifically in mind. Steven Universe is a kid's show but also relatable and has a message for other demographics, its E for Everyone.

S6E6 : Breezy - Finn's flower is drooping and he is told to get some good vibes in his life. A bee follows his flower arm and is feeling THOSE vibes. Breezy helps him get his mack on with a lot of princesses. Eventually through the episode Finne gets his arm back as his flower blooms. That was a good episode, I enjoyed it a lot. I liked how it showed the consequences of what happened recently in his life.

S6E7 : Food Chain - ... another episode that experiments with different animation styles and such. We learn about the food chain. It is an awful episode. I did see Magic Man so there is that.

S6E8 : Furniture and Meat - Finn and Jake decide to blow all their money after the treehouse literally bursts open from being too full of treasure. Jake quickly takes it too far by paying people to do weird shit. Another weird episode that feels entirely out of place for the series...beyond BMO saving the day.

S6E9 - The Prince Who Wanted Everything : Another fanfic with Fiona, but this time created by Lumpy Space Princess. Good for a laugh and always enjoy seeing Fiona and Cake.

S6E10 : Something Big - Maja attacks the Candy Kingdom with an ancient evil that threatens all of life everywhere? Evil Darren meets his match since Finn and Jake have an ancient war machine... elephant.... creature? Also Root Beer Guy died. T_T. Fun episode, I enjoyed it.

S6E11 : Little Brother - Shelby has an accident and creates himself a little brother who he tells to go fight evil! Kent has his adventures and they are righteous!

Evil Darren meets his match since Finn and Jake have an ancient war machine... elephant.... creature

Ancient Psychic Tandem War Elephant. They acquired it a long time ago in the episode where Hot Dog Princess' soldiers cheer Jake on to stretch throughout an entire labyrinth.

Pretty sure the Elephant also showed up in the episode where they spend all of their loot. He'd apparently just been chilling underneath all that gold that whole time.
