Greetings and Salutations! Welcome to my topic of my first watch thru of Adventure Time!

There will be progressive spoilers as my wife and I watch thru Adventure Time together.

I have been spoiled of a couple things about the series... which I will post in the next two lines.

1. There is a same sex coupling. I have a vague idea of what they look like, but don't know names
2. The Ice King becomes a good guy towards the end of the series
3. The story is supposedly taking place on a post-apocalyptic Earth, though that might be fan speculation.

Dunno if I will be starting it TONIGHT or not, but it is happening!

I've heard great things about the series. I honestly dunno if it will match up to some of the titans of the 2000's (Avatar, Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, Bojack Horseman, Hilda), but a lot of people put it right up there with it all.

Nope, you're in the right spot. The show pretty much starts off in the middle of a strange alien world, and the viewer figures out what's going on gradually.

S1 E1 - Slumber Party Panic

Finn and Princess Bubblegum must protect the Candy Kingdom from a horde of candy zombies they accidentally created and deal with the consequences of breaking a "royal promise." In the end, the two are able to avert the zombie apocalypse.

This series is amazing and pretty much defined the 2010's cartoons. Though it dipped for a while between the middle of s5 and the end of s6

This is such a weird way to start a series. They seem to have inside jokes already. It isn't impossible to start a series in the middle or anything. A lot of movies and TV shows do it but seems like an odd decision for a children's TV series.

Finale is amazing. Best part is the episodes are only ever a out 11 mi utes long so they never overstay their welcome. Fuck I would give anything to be able to watch it all from start to finish on a blank slate.

So Ice King desperately wants a wife and to be seen as a fun dude, but also flies off the handle the second things aren't going exactly his way.

Also, interesting tidbit about the idea they don't like him because he is a magic user. Magic is seen in a negative way in the world then? Or Ice King is just making excuses... hmmm.

After 3 episodes AT doesn't get my attention as much as Steven Universe, but it does seem to have infinite possibilities.

It's a good show.

The voice actor for the dog is Bender in Futurama and the guy from Gears of War.

I will say that every episode does make me laugh at least once, but overall meh so far. 5 episodes in, Finn just got the Enchiridion.

Very slow in the first season. Its just about world building and introducing you characters in this season.

My niece & I use to watch this show constantly when she was little. I even bought her dolls of Finn, Jake, Marceline, & Ice King. The Simon & Marcie episodes are perfect.

When I saw the Jiggler episode I wanted one SO BAD.
