By Saturday, a month from that topic being made, we will have doubled the amount of deaths in just a single month.

Remember when people on the right were saying it's not a big deal because swine flu killed 12,000 people over the course of a year?

An average of about 12,500 people died from coronavirus each of the last four weeks.

The best course of action was to quarantine, but we have too many people who:

1) Think it's a liberal government hoax
2) Refuse to follow social distancing guidelines
3) Refuse to quarantine
4) A combination of 1, 2, and/or 3 until it happens to them or someone they care about

We can see from the new case per day counts that the lockdowns were working, but it would have been even more effective if we had less people trying to stick their heads in the sand and ignore what's going on.

Now? I have no idea. We're pretty much just going to have to let people die as they will even though so many of the deaths have been and will be preventable.

I look at how much better South Korea handled the situation than us. We literally have people refusing to wear masks when they go out in public in the middle of all this.

States are opening up because the local governments do not want to pay the unemployment benefits
The virus has become so politicized that a decent chunk of the populace believes it's fake and the deaths aren't real
The corporate and wealthy are strong arming non-compliant governments into opening up through the use of funding anti corona and anti lockdown protests as well as urging false data, falsifying existing data and no longer doing any further testing or counting corona deaths as corona deaths

We are fucked, the depression that's gonna spawn from this is going to be a hell on earth, especially if Trump wins re-election as he will definitely prolong it either accidentally or willingly
