I finished the rest of Isomer on the hard difficulty. That last stage had some tough fights from the SWAP units' damage and me messing up dodging that nuke attack from the boss when she's at critical health.





I should be able to unlock the ranking map tomorrow. I already spent my Core Mask.

I didn't particularly prepare for her so I didn't meet the 58 armour threshold, which gave me a rough go the first few times. Managed to do it in one pass on my last try at least, and having a HOC also felt like it made a big difference for me than the times I tried without. In hindsight I should have saved some data resources to max out Lewis instead of burning it all on the other stuff I got lol, would have made it a bit easier at least.

I got my first P22 from Faith of Blood II EX. I still haven't had any luck getting HS2k yet.

Went back to the P22 mines myself after getting my second X95 drop haha, after getting another 500 medals I figured it was a good place to stop lol.

Also that's pretty unfortunate on the HS2k since featured box items seem to be more common; ultimately it'll be plain luck whether you get more than one.

I was getting so many medals trying for P22 dupes (6 per run) that I simply bought X95 from the pity shop instead of bothering to farm for her! lol



At least that's all sorted out. I just need my dupes (and HS2k) and then I can focus on ranking.

Are you talking about the mask core thing? Having an MG5 or Negev is always good for a MG/SG squad.

Negev is probably the most worthwhile of that batch since she's the rarest production MG plus she has a strong niche, that plus MGs are more expensive than the rest on that list.

MG5 is one of the best front-DPS MGs if you don't already have a solid MG team, but sounds like you already have the rest of the front-DPS MGs so she's less important then.

Note that the exchange lasts another 27 days so it might be worth putting it off until then if you're going to do more productions in the meantime.

Is HS2000 good in MG/SG groups? Like, shielding when everyone reloads or something? I've been using Jill in my 3MG/1SG group, but that's mostly a buff tile thing.

Gonna try to get the tokens from that one early map where the tanks killed me. Any good way to do that or should I just dismiss everyone but M4 and have her start nuking? Gonna go watch that farming video from earlier to check.

Okay, I beat that mission. I sorta did what was suggested and put rifles (NTW and WA2K) on the row next to the nearest tank, then had some HGs and a HOC for the other stuff. Dismiss the HGs almost immediately and let the rifles go to town. I was very surprised to see that the advancing regular enemies with the tank don't fail the battle if they leave the screen. Good news for anyone struggling with this one, I guess.

Also got a 7th black card on the token pulls, so I'm pretty close to having all Lee's costumes.

Honestly not really, in most cases your shottie doll will be tanking all three rows for negligible damage anyway and her tile buffs are not conducive for such echelons since she buffs evasion and RoF; MGs prefer damage buffs for general purpose stuff, plus most MG setups do most of their damage before reloading anyway so the barrier buff will be mostly wasted. Ideally you'd use something like K5/M23 or P22.

She drops on two maps (Faith of Blood II and Above the Hubbub II) but only one is worth farming on. If you farm the EX version, it's not a bad way to get Platinum Medals (4 to 6 per run). I got enough there for P22, X95, all the cheesecake for that medal, and a ton left over.

Then again, it took me flipping forever to get that last P22 drop (344 runs to get that one drop). Yeesh, that was painful! That was some of the worst drop luck I've had since Singularity!

If it's Nova Medals you're trying to farm, I don't really know.

Well, I have 5 copies of P22 for ranking events, so I'm good for the moment. I'm going to switch gears and move on to the ranking map. I hope I can make Top 10% or better on this one!

To add, Faith of Blood II EX has a full-auto route if you decide to skip one check so it's not bad for mindless farming

For Nova Medals, since you get 2 medals per check on EX that'll likely be your best bet depending on your choices. Shark and the Sea I EX which also drops UKM2k has 4 medals/2 checks in 3 battles that can be finished on the first turn itself.

Coincidentally that's the same number of P22s I ended up with after buying the shop one lol

I was 12% with 349k for a few days from my first proper romp in the Normal map, dropped to 14% today, so you should have an easy go of hitting 10% unless things drastically change in the last week or so; I don't quite recall experiencing massive rank shifts in previous events.

There are four hidden achievements with Isomer --

"Dark Void" Illusory Peace I: Complete the mission with all nodes captured.
"Die By Bare Hands" Illusory Peace III: Complete the mission with 0 ammo and 0 rations for all your echelons on the map.
"-500 Points - Isomer" Beyond the Border II: A hostage dies.
"This Person Again": View the entire Isomer end credits without skipping. (if you skipped, replay the "stage" with Story Playback set to Repeat in the game settings)

That aside this ranking map is a straight-up slugfest and doesn't really have a budget no-battle option like CT did; that probably influenced the comparitive number of participants to an extent

lol I wish I broke into the Top 100 in the last event! I was close but I didn't make it that far.

I was saying the lack of competition was bad for me because I like to test myself and I need a good, stacked level of competition to really know where I currently stand. Fewer people getting into the top brackets means my score becomes questionable in the grand scheme of the game. I mean, I made it there, sure, but how good is that really?

On the other hand, I do get easier access to the rewards I want, so I guess I can't complain too much about it.

Isomer's ranking map may not have a pacifist option, but you can still get a decent score with a few echelons and 1 HOC, seen here in this scuffed proof-of-concept run on the normal difficulty: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdXYr-1lotM
