I find it amazing how Lurrus is being played in Vintage.

The Embercleave version of RDW still seems strong but it also runs 8 mythics and a handful of rares so maybe people are just making other things. Tramples over the cat, too.

I kept running into Yorion Fires decks now. I'm not sure what happened to make going 4-color the build here over Keruga, but it seems to be a lot slower. I think there's gotta be some room for aggro with people running greedy junk like this.

I mean I've been winning with mono-green because Questing Beast is still amazing and gemrazer is actually positioned really well to deal with fires and ovens.

Still if they get an eidolon going with some early dead weights and mire's grasp on your little guys it's hard to come back from that advantage.

Oh whoops I think we're thinking of different Lurrus decks. I see the ones that just have a bunch of creatures and very few enchantments. The ones that are now switching to Obosh for Mayhem Devils and Judith. I think I've played against the Hateful Eidolon once or twice but not nearly as much as those.

There is a Bo3 option! I'm not sure if it's the default one or not but when you challenge you can set it.

Just had a very unusual game in which my opponent had nearly the same name (emerald) and was playing nearly the same deck as me. Eventually though I was able to outlast him on the back of my 75 life

I just won a draft game with 86 life and had to deck my opponent to win. I had a Maned Serval that, with two Keensight Mentors, became a mighty 21/24 with lifelink (Splendor Mare cycling token). The opponent had 3-4 of the red creature that lets you cast a card in your yard with cycling and so s/he had an endless stream of blockers for my three man team (they killed everything else with go for bloods, ram throughs and such). Long live the Yotian Soldiers of the world.

Ugh I hate games like that. Well if you lose anyway.

I stomped someone just for their enforcer guy to create enough chump blockers for like 6 turns. The worst thing is I chose not to kill it over something else because I was like what could a bunch of 1/1s do anyway.

I can see how that'd be annoying, but I was having fun and laughing hard. It was just kind of amusing. He and I both knew he didn't have any way to win, but until he decked himself neither did I.

I really am curious if I was supposed to play into the potential counter at the end of game 2. I knew if I stuck the card i would win but I would have been blown out pretty badly so I went with the safer plays.

No idea if that was correct.
