Pretty much this. NOBODY should be using it in any context.

We know we cannot get a lot of white folks to stop saying it. You always find some of them "accidentally" slipping up and saying it on tv or being recorded saying it in conversations where they think no one else is listening. So we know we cannot get ALL people to stop using it.

So how about, the people who this word is directed to to demean and insult, rebrand and redefine that word so that it is no longer a symbol of hate to them, but one of endearment.
Basically attempt to disarm the racist of the hateful connotations of that word.

You really want to know the truth of why white racists want to say it so bad?
I'll explain because I'm bored.

Let's pretend to jump into the shoes of a racist:
I'm a racist and white. So I see black people being treated as people. Does it matter if my family made me hate black people? No. Does it matter if I saw a bunch of movies from the 1960s where black people are seen as less than white? No. Does it - No no it doesn't fucking matter. I just don't like black people. I hate them. And I know they're not equal to me. They're less than me.

So something triggers it. Each time something triggers it. Maybe I saw an Obama speech? Maybe I saw some black guy comment on how pretty a white woman is. Maybe I even saw the opposite: a white woman saying a black man is cute. Maybe my dream girlfriend was dating a black guy, who knows?

What I do know is that there's no big deal to the n-word. Seriously, think about it. I heard that one song by the one black rapper with the lyrics and he called the black people my n-word so it should be okay for me to say it. Because I heard a black person say it first.

That's literally all it is. Racists are jumping through fucking hoops just to say it.

I don't think it's that with most people. I think most people simply don't understand why it's not okay for a certain race to say certain things. That isn't how freedom of speech works. It's all about context, but people don't see it that way. If someone asks me what NWA stands for, it shouldn't be hate speech for saying it's [n-words] With Attitude. If someone is rapping along with a song, it shouldn't be hate speech. If you quote someone, it shouldn't be hate speech. Yet there are people that want to make it illegal for people to say that word if they're white

It's all about context, but people don't see it that way, imo

What I was trying to get across is that these girls are against domestic violence, and they were wearing an RIP shirt of a person that beat his pregnant girl half to death. Beat up a gay guy for just looking at him. These girls fight against that sort of stuff, yet wearing an RIP shirt of him. Again, the double standards which I thought this topic was about, but I guess not.
