Dumbbells are sold out at most places. I've been seeing ads on FB for adjustable dumbbells. From checking them out online it looks like they can be a bit delicate and break if you aren't careful.

Just looking for the best online retailer or product. Perhaps a brand name or something like that.

Or maybe people have used them and think they are absolute junk. Just looking for any sort of feedback on these.

Just get a backpack and a bunch of water jugs and you can adjust appropriately.

I'm going by secondhand experience but I've heard they're fine for any exercise you'd place them down afterwards instead of dropping them. Also stuff like hammer curls where you're putting all the stress on one end can mess them up over time.

So dumbell bench press may be off the table, but regular curls and stuff should be fine.

they're extremely expensive. A 5gal bucket full of sand is 70lbs. A one arm pullup is just as hard as a heavy barbell row. Planche pushups are like doing a low cable fly with your entire bodyweight.

I get asked what gym I go to and all I have is parallettes and a pullup bar. It does take some more technique, but you can make massive gains outside of the weight room
