I'm not sold on Sultan's claim because the whole "I'll same time with someone random oh Chris volunteered well uh never mind I'm tracker" routine did not feel like a way town power actually approaches claiming but risk/reward favours not pursuing it for now

So that whole business with Tange and Balla just ended up feeling like a gigantic deliberate waste of time where Scare just kind of tried to make a big fuss while not really trying to accomplish anything

My first reaction to Chris claiming bombproof was similar to what Corrik is thinking but further thought says it's a pretty big risk to throw out as scum when it's not entirely crazy that town could actually have an anti-bomb role. I'm a little leery of the lack of any of the usual "I AM CHRIS, OBEY MY EVERY WHIM OR SUFFER ETERNAL DESPAIR AND INDIGESTION" posts but approaching the "joke" game more casually than usual makes sense so that could explain the lack of fire. Think I'm mostly okay with him.

Anyone could potentially die on their first post for no apparent reason beyond correctly voting scum. Does that sound like something that exists outside a game that's aiming more for chaos than serious business, AKA a "FUN" game?

I think Scare looked bad but not scum. I think he looks bad to everyone outside of his mind space because Im assuming he had a very specific response he expected from Tange and he got something very different. To me it looked like Range didnt want to do Scares work for him which by itself isnt alignment indicative.
The problem is to everyone else that wasnt that big a deal and Scare could easily have done it himself, but to Scare it ticked a box in his head that nobody else saw.
I think hes probably town.

I think Balla is attempting to look busy.

I think Chris is either scum or not bothered, Corrik could be using this as an opportunity to eliminate Chris early without wasting a kill or he could just think Chris is scum. Chris has town cleared a lot of people so far.

If nothing else Chris is making me laugh.
That, his claim and his pressure on Sultan fits with the kind of posts townChris made in the last few games.
Not that he cant fake that as scum (and he clearly remembers those times well) and I did at first just assume the bombproof claim was a joke.
But I am not convinced that this makes Chris scum.

On the other hand, 5tar, you vote Chris yet you sound like you're not even sure if Corrik or Chris is scum. Why is that?

Red being upset about hyperbomb also to me reads like genuine town anger, which I like of course.

What are you looking for here death? I voted Chris because I think hes scum, worst case scenario hes not scum and hes disinterested town. He has already claimed a role that is useless to town going forward and has also expressed a general disinterest in the game because its more fun based and less serious.
If you want to ask me why I think Chris is scum then do that instead of asking why I voted for him after I already clearly stated why Im voting him.

Oh, the game definitely is intended to have a bit of chaos, it was kind of expected during the sign-ups. That doesn't also mean it can't be a serious(read as balanced) game.

We havent played together but thats 100% not my playstyle. I am always against lynching afk players and I hate the reasoning behind it.
What I mean is I think Chris is scum. If he isnt scum then hes town that is actively not trying. If I didnt think he was scum and just lazy town like Scare then I wouldnt be voting him.
I think his claim, his heat check, his handing off the day to red of all people are all bad looks for him.
I think if he doesnt want to play he can absolutely replace or he can join in and have fun.

First, I think puns' case about Ben's interaction with him is compelling. Second I think puns has been in his town meta so far and town puns is a smart and savvy player so going along with him for a bit is A-OK. Secondly I think Sultan is probably town and of all the people who joined my crusade Panthera had the most 'eh' vote to me with his "oh boy I've never done this let's try."

Also we started using heat check because I love the phrase.

And while I do have minimal interest voting me for a relatively lack of effort seems a bit silly considering my relative lack of effort is better than 80% of the game's efforts so far.

It bothers me for that exact reason. I dont want people to just give you a pass and lynch whoever you feel like, just because you say the term heat check. If you have a read thats great, use it to find actual evidence and lead town in a lynch. Dont just say this person is scum because heat check.

There is no way in hell that there is another hyper bomb. That just becomes stupid and unfun.
If there is another bomb, Id expect it to be either the upon lynch kill the last person who voted you type or maybe a targeted bomb who can select any one voter in their lynch.

That wasnt my point.
I never complained about you having fun nor have I commented on your level of contribution I dont think.
I said, you said you werent interested because the game wasnt serious and I didnt like that approach.
I also didnt like the timing of your claim because you could have claimed it much earlier than you did and it makes town more cautious.
