The county put an 11pm to 5am curfew in place just before they were supposed to record. So either their hand was forced or they just planned it that way because of the curfew.

Also Undertaker's main evented a Wrestlemania in each of the last 4 decades, and he's only main evented five times.

Other things I noted to myself...
- It took a pandemic for Strowman to finally win a world title.
- Goldberg spent the first 19 years of his career losing zero clean matches on TV. He's lost three matches clean since Wrestlemania 33 (Brock, Taker, Braun)
- Imagine feeding 4 low tier females plus Asuka to Baszler only to have Becky win in less than 10 minutes. I'm about 95% convinced that Becky's dropping the belt back to Ronda.

I didnt mind it. Using the lack of fans to do some Hardy magic in ways you otherwise couldn't. Not like teleporting wrestlers is some new thing, AEW was just able to do it without turning off the lights for once.

But they already retconned it to be drones hiding in the seats using holograms to fake teleportation .

The most well-received parts of WrestleMania seem to be the scripted cinema-like matches.

Which sucks because they can't really do that any other year unless they want to kill the crowd.

The scripted cinema-like matches were SO DAMN SPORTS-ENTERTAINING
Drew feels like a star (granted it's like way too late)

There were some duds, yeah, but I think being two nights helped a lot.

Man if there was a crowd present this would probably have been one of the greatest Wrestlemanias of all time. The only significant issues I had were Becky/Shayna going way too short and Edge/Orton going too long. I really hope WWE follows the path laid by Broken Matt and do more cinematic style matches in the future, cause the Boneyard and Funhouse matches were so entertaining to watch. Hell, my sister who never watches wrestling but wanted to check out what it would look like with no fans, got totally sucked in thanks to those matches. Obviously you wouldn't want to oversaturate (something WWE is prone to doing) but I think it would definitely benefit wrestlers with more fantastical gimmicks like Bray as well as legends who can hide their weaknesses behind the format.

Yeah I'd say be careful what you wish for on "more matches" like that in the future, WWE are great at running things into the ground. Part of me just hopes these two matches just stay as, like, historical curiosities for the rest of time.
