His house has the most personal connection to the part 1 storyline, which is fun, and (actual spoilers) Dimitri's seemingly-nice facade cracking is great to watch.
Blue Lions is legit the best story line...even if shit doesnt get resolved like GD or Church.

Poor sweet ptsd riddled Dimitri....Edelgard knows she is doing wrong hell you learn from Hubert who the actual enemy is Edelgard is content to continue working with them after she learns the truth. At most Rhea killed some zelouts that were sticking there nose where they shouldnt becoming a direct threat to her remaining family. The order of people getting out of that mess clean is Claude>>>Dimitri>Rhea>>Edelgard.
Bernie is obnoxious given she immediately backtracks to thinking everything is out to get her the professor included still cute though.

lmao no. The theme of the game is that everyone goes to shit if Byleth isn't supporting them.
Except Claude. Claude is awesome.

I'm honestly feeling this route as a first playthrough was a mistake. Not that I'd say its the "evil" route (not yet anyway), but more so that I think I should have familiarized myself with the world via another route before having this experience. The same way I think that the rekindle route in Dark Souls is the better first experience even though it's probably not what I'd consider the best experience of the game. It sets you up with proper core knowledge of the universe that is then questioned and torn down in a subsequent playthrough.

Oh well, nothing for it at this point.

You don't learn enough about the world on any route alone, you piece it together by playing all of them.

I think I'm gonna do the Golden Deer house next as that is the one I was most interested in along with the Black Eagle house. Though it probably won't be straight away. I'm thinking I'll need a few weeks break after this.

On the first battle of Crimson Flower and the difficulty seems to have been turned up a bit. I was somewhat overleveled previously it felt, but now though I'm still at or above in level, enemy statistics seem jacked. A lot of my characters are having trouble not getting doubled and Edelgard isn't able to tank any physical hit from a non-boss without damage.

Nice. I thought the game was being too easy before, this is more to my liking.

Question. Since the goal of this mission is to defeat the commander, is there any story relevance if I do that before killing Leonie and Ignatz?

These are rather mild spoilers as it doesn't spoil anything about the story.

CF is only 18 Chapters long. SS (Siding with Rhea over Edelgard) is 21 chapters and GD and BL routes are 22 Chapters. I'm pretty sure enemies on CF get stronger faster due to having less chapters.

Heavy Armor classes are just kinda bad overall in 3H. It's also a weird class, because it's not that tanky, but still cuts you speed a lot when Edelgard has pretty good speed and strength for doubles. You can still use it if you don't have anything else to use over it.

Warrior would be better over it and that should be easy enough to switch to. Wvyern Rider/Wvyern Lord would be more ideal.

she's awful as an armored lord
shit accuracy
gets double all the time

even with her high hp and defense she gets in the danger zone fairly quickly

final classes for me were
Caspar was a warmaster
Petra was a mortal Savant (as was byleth)
Bernie was a bow knight
hubert Dark Knight
Dorthea Gremory
Ferdinand Great Knight
can't remember the lazy dude's name he was a holy knight
Edelgard i never changed from armored lord which was a mistake, i was actually training her to be a wyvern lord initially, but i stopped training flying and used her "canon" class and then it was too late
never change the death knight
and the other character you can recruit was Gremory

Final Classes:

Not actually spoilers but if TC doesn't want influence his class decisions, I want TC to have the option to avoid.

Byleth: Wyvern Lord
Edelgard: Wyvern Lord
Petra: Wyvern Lord
Bernie: Bow Knight
Hubert: Dark Knight
Dorthea: Dancer (With March Ring and the Shoes of the Wind)
Ferdinand: Wyvern Lord
Death Knight: Death Knight
Lindhart: Dark Knight (Occasionally bishop for when I needed more Warp)

I also had another character he hasn't recruited yet.

How exactly is attack speed calculated in this game? It doesn't seem to be a straight speed - weight with modifying abilities. Are there some innate character or class modifiers?

You can also ask them to instruct you as well.

Still I find the whole part 2 monastery to be a little out of place. Weird to keep going back and forth between the battlegrounds and monastery. I would love smaller base of operations for the area we are occupying that still allow to take advantage of professor activities, but also not having to navigate the huge monastery in the 2nd half.

Something about the size of the Abyss would be great.

I just think it's kind of lazy how little they did with the monestary in part 2. All the students' rooms are not only untouched, but someone keeps lighting candles in them for no reason. Like, did no random people move in here over the last 5 years? Classrooms are also untouched with lit fireplace. I feel like Edelgard wouldn't allow the blue lion banners and colours to keep flying in the classroom.

They needed Tellius' base camp, but instead of being menu-based you can walk around. It just needs to be 1/4 the size of the Monastery. They could even mildly change backgrounds and stuff depending on where you were in the story.

But also have the option for it to be menu based, for the people who didn't want to run around.

I legitimately have no clue how to get past Hilda in this mission. My best guess is to rush her with a gambit on my Ferdiladin and using canto retreat out of harm's way using Canto, assuming you can even use it after a gambit, while my other untis close in on her.

Been on this mission for over 2 hours. Down to 3 dragon pulses. Holy balls.

Edit: I'm such a dumdum, I get obsessed thinking about statistics not realizing that I can nearly one shot the hard ass unit from 4 steps away with Dorothea or Hubert.

Some of these post-time skip supports are really weird. Continueing a conversation about something that happened five years ago as if it happened yesterday is... not how humans communicate. And I'd get it if it was just that I could have gotten the support convo back then, but a lot of them reference timeskip specific content, so that wouldn't make sense.

I'm not sure I'd go that far. She is hardly essential by any means. It is just nice to get an extra magic user to support Hubert and she hits like a freight train. But at the end of the day the game is still very beatable without her.

I feel like Lyisthea doesn't really do that much if you are recruiting her at chapter 14.

Hubert should be more than capable of doing the same thing as Lyisthea especially if you are not playing on maddening.

Linhardt should have warp as well and Lyisthea doesn't auto level her faith iirc.

Honestly her biggest strength is the early game due to faster skill leveling as she'll have access to more powerful spells sooner than the rest of your spellcasters plus mastering classes sooner meaning she'll get fiendish blow way before everyone else.

Trying to roleplay and it felt extremely suspicious what was happening. Like, of all the people to capitulate and turn traitor after a defeat, I'd never think of her, the little interaction I had with her pre-time skip. Lorenz, sure. Sylvain (if I hadn't recruited him), sure. Her? Nah. I'd never believe it (even though for gameplay reasons I'm sure it would be fine).

Besides, I don't really wanna add new people to the roster at this point. I feel content where I'm at.

Also does anyone know about this:
