This situation and response by the bank is pretty standard. Everyone on this thread is acting like Phil is in a bad way....no the bank is the one in the bad way right now.
As soon as Phil started the process for filing, the bank cannot move forward. They aren't even allowed to contact him.
THeir biggest concern right now is minimizing the amount of money they are going to lose. No matter what, the bank loses.
The first thing they need to do is secure the unit. Most likely its been unoccupied for a while. They need to figure out what repairs need to be done and they need to get this onto the market ASAP.
What they don't want is for this condo to rot from the inside out.
This doesn't really have anything to do with getting money out of Phil because...they just simply are never going to get the money they are owed out of him.
Its all about limiting their losses.

I said it about a month or two ago, perhaps longer, but I think he's taking some online classes and is moving to get a new, better job. If he is doing that, or at least looking for a new job, then that is the best thing he could do, not tall anyone. But not telling his fans he's about to bail on them is pretty shitty as well.

Phil is unbelievable. Yes this is nothing new, but it is worth reitterating.

He said that tips help him the most right now (was this ever NOT the case?) because he has to buy 2 new games Friday.

For tharters Phil, you don't. You are playing a dozen games right now, one which includes a new release and heavily requested game: Nioh 2.

Secondly, he hasn't been paying his CT Condo mortgage, thst much has been proven clear, so that's an extra 1200 dollars in his pocket. He's also not paying any credit cards.

Nioh 2 continues to produce salt.

Somehow, Phil is baffled by the fact that enemies know more than one attack. I'll let that sink in for a moment.

He's been "easy mode" coasting through the game using the Swtichglaive using mid attack spam.

Then he ran into a boss that also uses Switchglaive with mid attacks. Phil had a bitchfit. Aoparantly it is okay for him to use cheap tactics, but not the other way around.

He played some Warzone. For someone who loves to hide in bathroom in such games, it sure reflects poorly on him when he accuses others of camping.

He avoided every single gunfight he could, then called the game boring. When he finally did get in a skirmish, he complained the game got choppy right at that moment.

Phil claimed to be under "financial pressure" because he has to pay bills and wants to buy two games.

He got a 6p dollar tip. So naturally his mood becane happy and went full clown mode.

I Mass Effect 2 he is ignoring any and all romantic subplots. Because, you know, he is married.

Phil also doesn't feel the need to improve his stream. You see, he watched other streamers and came to the conclusion that he is better/more entertaining than them...

He was bitching during SF2 again, saying that lots of shit wouldn't work offline. So someone rid ask a legitimate question: "When was the last time you played offline? Shouldn't you be used to online by now?" A very legitimate question indeed. Do you think Phil had a hearty discussion with this person? Going through several well articulated points? Nah, dude was instantly banned. Gotta protect that ego.

These past couple weeks could have been an opportunity to bring in new viewers (with all the people not working or going to school) and adopt a better attitude (ie: there are things more important than complaining about games and trolls). Phil could have done what he constantly says he wants to do: make his stream a chill place to hang out and not worry about everything else going on in the world. Instead, even in the midst of a global pandemic, Phil is still the same miserable person he always is an always will be.

I know we've discussed this before, but a certain amount of blame has to fall on his fans for continuing to enable him. His content gets lazier, his attitude grows worse, his debt increases--and his viewers keep funding him.
