He clearly primarily killed single celled organisms so the amount of biomass reduction was significantly less.

Since the whole process is rather undefined it is hard to say exactly how it would work, but since it is an undefined 50% reduction in life on the planet and not each life form on the planet has a 50% chance of dying or each species is reduced by 50%, then yes it would be improbably for a large number of humans to get dusted given the fraction of a percent of all life on the plane they represent.

Lets all remember that the person who does the snap can choose who to take and who to bring back. Hulk chooses to bring everyone back who was lost, and Tony Stark chooses to kill off just Thanos army. Maybe Thanos chose to save things like plant life on purpose.

the movies are filled with loopholes so its not that bad

But does it have to be evenly spread? Like, some places are more dense with plant life & foliage & stuff. So, maybe some places got hit more than others. Also, it may have been hard to see grass being dusted. Also, who says the trees didnt get dusted? Just because you didnt see it doesnt mean it didnt happen...

Plants *are* resources though. If Thanos intended to preserve resources, it stands to reason that he would preserve plants as well.

Has it been explicitly stated that "50 percent of all life" includes plants? If not, it's safe to say Thanos intentionally spared them.

The Infinity Saga was great, but the last 2 movies get really, really stupid if you start thinking about them too hard.

Ignore the fridge logic of the Snap itself, and the implications of the snapped being unsnapped 5 years after people have moved on, or being unsnapped into empty sky at 30,000 ft because they were on a flight at the time of the Snap. There are plenty of scenarios where you just have to turn your brain off for the sake of the story.

But can we take a moment to just reflect on the fact that the fate of the entire universe relied not upon the Avengers, or the Guardians, or Captain Marvel, etc, but on a rat? If that Rat hadn't been crawling around on the dashboard of Scott's van in storage and just randomly happened to hit the switch that pulled Scott out of the Quantum Realm, nothing would have changed in the post-Snap world.

I think we talked about this before. I asked if a pregnant women and the baby were considered separate lives, or could one of them be snapped and the other not (i.e.: she'd just have a belly of dust or the baby would just plop to the ground and the umbilical cord would magically be severed at some arbitrary point)? I was told that it's all dependent on and defined by the snapper (so if Thanos were pro-life, the baby and mother would dust separately).

Yes! Yes. All life.

Reddit user dwallace3099: People have expressed views that, in Endgame, those brought back by the snap could have died in accidents (like someone being brought back 100 ft in the air where a plane used to be). Is it possible that Hulk, when doing the snap, not only brought everyone back, but also brought them back in a safe place?

This happens in a lot of those tv shows where people go missing for years and stuff. Basically, you do what you think is best. Some people go back to their first SO. Which could work if the other person also lost an SO. And some stay with new one, and the other person will sometimes understand. And if the other person had an SO before, as well, maybe they could see if things work out between the two. Which could make sharing the kids a little easier, if they exist. Or they could become one big happy family. Like either two full couples, or two people sharing one person. Whatever. In the end, there's a discussion that probably needs to happen to address everything...

Because Cap went back and put all the stones back in their place. And as explained in the movie, changing the past doesn't change the future. If you went back in time and changed something, that creates an alternate timeline, it doesn't affect the current timeline.

When they returned to the present was that along their original timeline or the timeline they created? Returning the stones would have just spun off more timelines. So in all the timelines created between taking the first stone and returning the last stone Thanos wouldn't have been in possession of them since they were displaced in time.
