Whether this refers to the entire plot of the dream, or just a segment of a dream that pops up often.

For me...

-School dreams. Usually where I'm at my current age, but in my senior year, frustrated that I still haven't graduated.
-Dreams where I lose multiple teeth.
-Sex dreams.
-Love dreams (different than sex dreams).
-Dreams with an ex. (Usually overlaps with one of the 2 above categories).
-Dreams where my vision has reverted back to pre-LASIK and everything is blurry.
-Dreams where I've committed a crime/murder, and am running from the law, and usually end up getting caught.
-Dreams with giant bugs, usually spiders, sometimes centipedes.
-Dreams where I'm working at a previous job, an intensely busy day where I'm feeling fed up and want to quit.
-Dreams that take place at large department stores, but are usually mundane (for a dream) while in them.

It's not usually a recurring dream. But I do have a dream world that I go back to a lot. The dreams are different. And they just keep adding on to that world. It's started off as like a small shopping center. It's huge now. There's a movie theater, a couple of arcades, a huge hotel, a couple smaller ones, and a bunch of smaller stores, as well. It even has a cruise ship area to board a ship, a train station, and an airport. And so much more. But that's just that area. My dream world also consist of "real places", but things are slightly different to where I can tell. And then two areas are connected by this super dangerous road that's like a roller coaster. Love dreams (different than sex dreams).

this. Like the last dream I had. I was on a date with a really exciting lady. We had dinner at a nice restaurant, walked along the beach, and sat on a lake dock watching the sun set behind the trees and mountains. We then climbed into my car and just snuggled up under the stars, where she pointed out the star constellations as she was a astrologist until we fell asleep.

A few weeks ago I cut my foot while walking across my room. Might have been an open boxcutter I left on the floor, but it cut a shallow but wide swath of skin off the bottom of my foot, not deep enough to draw blood, save for one small slice along it, which only bled when pressured. Examining it, there didn't seem to be anything there at first. Thinking that part specifically could have been caused by glass, I gave it another gentle brushing, and a small shard came out.

Some time later, as I was putting something on my feet, I figured I should check on the damage, which wasn't there. "Oh, that was a dream."

Anyway, I don't dream often, and there's nothing at all recurring. Just things in places that are familiar and not so strange that they could have only happened in a dream.

I repeatedly have dreams where I'm back in school, its almost the end of the year and I realize there is some class that I've never gone to and I'm wandering around trying to find the classroom.

I also have dreams where I'm driving a car but I'm in the backseat for some reason and I can't reach the brakes. I mean, I can't reach anything else either, but it is always specifically the brakes that I'm concerned about.

I often have nightmares that I quit without notice at my current job I love and started working at the shit hole I used to work at

In my dreams a goth chock with black hair and dressed in black(duh) used to appear. I felt a strong connection to her. I've no idea who this gal is. These days though she doesn't visit me anymore. I think it's time we see other people anyway.

These things keep popping up in my nightmares:
-School problems: missing classes (many absences), not doing my assignments, and walking into the wrong room
-Car problems: my car not slowing down or stopping no matter how hard I step on the brakes, and still moving even after I turn off the engine
-Getting lost
-Fights with people
-Having too many pets
-Trouble packing and moving
-Ew! Yuck! Sick! Gross! things that gross me out and make me physically ill even hours after waking

My only dreams involve thinking all night about a plan that I can't remember when I wake up.

But it was super important when I was asleep. If I don't get enough sleep then I stay in that weird "I have some plan that I don't know about" mindset.

I think I'm just thinking normally and I can't remember any of it because I like to shut off my hippocampus when I sleep.

Not so long ago I had a school dream with classmates from my high school and uni with characters from Boku no Hero Academia (I remember Uraraka and Atsui) all mixed up as one class. Anime characters acted like normal people and I didn't find all of it strange while dreaming and insted felt engrossed with exams and school life.

One regular dream is when I am driving a car from the backseat, perfectly normal, until I realize I am in the backseat and cant reach the pedals.

And the superhero dreams. Where I only have powers when nobody is watching.

Being able to levitate or float a foot off the ground, upright, and just move around from place to place like that instead of walking.

i always have dreams about being in an airplane with huge open windows that is struggling to get up in the air. like were flying 30 feet above the freeway

have quite a few recurring dreams, not the same dream but rather some things that involve these sort of things
I end up being a dragon quite a few times(And I seem to have the ability to control darkness, change shape and some time related abilities as well)
Also end up being various Pokemon some of them being repeated
Also been various other animals and an Alicorn
And have had dreams involving dragons or a Pokemon trying to cross over from my dreams into this reality.
And in some of the dreams I a dragon or Pokemon in seems to involve someone wanting to use my power for destruction.
And have had Princess Luna show up in my dreams quite a bit as well as Twilight Sparkle, Celestia and Starlight glimmer
And about some of the Pokemon I have been dreams, been quite a few of them
Ninetales, Articuno, Yveltal, Lycanroc, Primarina, Braixen,Lugia, Reshiram, Rayquaza, Latias, Dialga, Lunala, Noivern and many others. Not entirely sure what determines what Pokemon I end up as though.
And recuring dreams to where I am either drawn to darkness or darkness is drawn to me
Also have dreams that involve destroying the world or saving the world a lot of those I usually am a Pokemon in, and the ones I usually end up destroying I end up being Yveltal in and the worlds that are destroyed are usually beyond saving anyway. also had renamon show up a few times as well.
And some of the dreams I have had kind felt more like a reality of their own rather than a dream.

Trying to find the classroom where I'm supposed to be lecturing, and always being on the wrong floor or in the wrong building, dead-end corridors and stairways that lead me in the wrong direction, while the time gets later and later...

Since childhood, dreams where I feel like the smallest unit of the universe then I suddenly feel like the entire universe, back and forth I go. They are my favorite.
