Theres a brand called Table5 that is by far the best Ive had. I actually prefer it to some non-frozen pizzas.

Its expensive though so sometimes I will just get Jacks pizzas from Walmart. Theyre 2 for $5 and are pretty tasty, especially if you add extra cheese to them

Off that list, plain old Totinos. I do like DiGiorno, but I get the stuffed crust ones.

Question: did Tombstone kind of 'go away' for anyone else for a while? I was a teenager in the 90s, and it seemed like every third commercial was theirs, "What do you want on YOUR Tombstone?" We started carrying them again recently and it was only then I realized I hadn't seen them in stores where I live in at least 10 years. One store not carrying them I can understand, but I have two national (Walmart & Target) and four regional (Bi-Lo, Food Lion, Harris Teeter, and Ingles) grocery stores in easy driving distance and never saw them anywhere.

Out of these, I say Red Baron Classic Crust Pepperoni Pizza or Freschetta Naturally Rising Crust Pepperoni Pizza. I may have also voted for DiGiorno Original Rising Crust Supreme Pizza if it wasn't supreme... The others range from ok to I haven't had them. Though, I agree about getting DiGiorno stuffed crust...

Kirkland (Costco-brand) has the best frozen pizzas. You get like 4 cheese pizzas with breadcrumb crust for $10, or 4 thin crust pepperoni pizzas for $12.

Of course, their take-and-bake pizzas are even better. They have an insane amount of pepperoni on a 16" extra large pizza for $9.

Out of the ones on the list, the Red Baron one. That said, my brand preference is DiGiorno, Tombstone/Red Baron, Totino's, and Jack's (in that order)

Most homemade pizzas or "make your own" use flour dough for the crust. Virtually all professionally made pizzas (store-bought, chain) use bread dough.

I have tested several brands recently. I'll divide them by type.

Red Baron Classic Crust type
  1. Red Baron
  2. Tony's (nothing but a knockoff Red Baron for a dollar cheaper. Less flavor, I think?)
  3. Tombstone (see below...)


Thicker type
  1. Freschetta Naturally Rising Crust (Like Digiorno, more of a hassle to cook, but def more flavorful)
  2. Digiorno Rising Crust


I love Red Baron, but sometimes I want a thicker pizza. I'm thinking about getting Freschetta again. So let's see...

  1. Red Baron/Freschetta tied until further inspection.
  2. Digiorno after that. Sauce could use more flavor, but at least there's plenty of it.
  3. Tony's


And then at the bottom tier is Totino's Party Pizza. They've made that shit rectangular now. It's flat and... spongey. Just weird all around.

Even further below that is Tombstone. For some reason, I thought it was ok when I was a kid, but holy shit. I've eaten store brand pizza better than that! I will never eat a Tombstone pizza again.

Try a Screaming Sicilian. A little more expensive than some brands but definitely worth it.

Go for it. They're not going to be the best you've ever had but they are really good. The have plenty of sauce and it's actually kind of zesty. I expected the sauce to be just sort of boring, sweet tomato sauce. I was pleasantly surprised. The crust has a nice flavor too. It's chewy, but not in a bad way.

I agree, Screaming Sicilian is pretty good, Red Baron Brick Oven is good and often on sale for cheap, but Brewpub is the only one I know that is overloaded with so much delicious cheese that you have to eat the first slice with a fork, so the cheese doesn't slide off before it cools.

And Totino's Party Pizza is more of a snack food that a serious pizza, that's why it's now shaped like a toaster-oven tray. Not bad for a buck.

Jack's is decent for 2 bucks, but easy to overcook and turn to cardboard.

Don't have room for something half the size of a microwave?

Toaster oven is the greatest gadget: toasts, warms or bakes lots of snack foods. Mine is used frequently, second only to my microwave, toasts hamburger buns, cooks frozen (French fries, shrimp, fish sticks, fish fillets, popcorn chicken, onion rings), bakes party pizza and pizza rolls, bakes homemade pizza boats, hot ham&cheese sandwiches, pigs in a blanket, etc.

If I need to toast something that won't fit in the two-slice pop-up toaster, or warm or bake something that doesn't actually need the full-sized oven, the toaster-oven does it.

Some are big, but some are pretty smaller. My microwave is bigger than my toaster oven...You can kind of stick them anywhere... And you can put it up when you're done, if that's your thing...
