I think that's what happened... That was the best iteration of it, but most of them are just following a pre-set path with designated distractions/obstacles to hide behind/run between. They're trial and error mixed with waiting and seeing, and while it really isn't 'awful' it's just not the game I signed up for. 90% of the game is mind-blowingly good Spider-Man content, but the stealth segments made me want to groan. If you want to break up the pacing, have some Peter segments where he's in public and can't openly use his powers and has to accomplish something discrete; that'd be a cooler way to work in some stealth. Then again, most of the sailing was tedious. Fast travel needed to come sooner and just let you port to any square you've explored, imo. Just awful. Most fan patches include a secret hatch towards the beginning that can be accessed by hacking for this very reason.
