Yeah I certainly did not expect that the reveal would be done this way. I'm expecting a big fight and they finally cut open the back of the Armoured or Colossal Titan's neck and be like "omg it was Old Man Jenkins all along".

But nope, we get "hey Eren by the way man we're those two titans just so you know man".

I had to rewind because I thought I had misread the subtitles.

I just did what you're doing a few months ago (rewatched season 1 and then plowed through seasons 2 and 3) and I cannot wait for season 4.

This topic makes me want to rewatch the series again already. I'll probably do it closer to the season 4 release.

Reiner reveal is A+++, legit can't believe the mangaka decided to write it that way but for how bizarre/hilarious it is, it's pretty great.

Speaking of - I dropped the manga around where season 2 of the anime ends. The paneling and... the art in general was just really, really rough even as someone who's generally a manga purist. And yet at the same time I found season 1 of the anime to be unbearably paced, so I didn't continue on with that either. Can anyone who's done both comment on what they think is the better experience? This topic and a few other things have me curious to take another crack at it.

Reiner and Bert were stunned when they saw the Beast titan

Reiner was the one that rushed off to see what happened when Eren blocked the Canon ball

The whole time the drama was just me thinking he was gonna die and then he got crippled. So the anime was STILL throwing me for a loop.

The pacing is a lot better in seasons 2 and 3, so that shouldn't be an issue.
