Here's something random I noticed. When I was rewatching the openings I noticed during the second opening near the beginning it shows flashes of the characters on the right side of the screen. When it gets to Reiner, it shows him, Bertholdt, and Annie switch to the left side of the screen so I guess that's some neat foreshadowing of them being on the opposing side.
