I would loooooooooove to be a fly on the wall during the meating of 5 March. Just hearing Phil stumble as questions get asked about his inconsistencies:

"Mister Burnell, I have a question. It says here on your application that you don't have any pets, care to explain why you are reporting an expense of a 100 dollars per month for pet food?"

I am not going to pretend to know what kind of bullshit answer he is going to give. But just imagine when questions arise why he said he didn't have electronics, or why he is filing 5000 dollars worth of business expenses every month.

I really want to believe that karma is finally due. He has gotten away with so much, but that him filing for bankruptcy will be his own undoing.

These people aren't going to take Phil's usual bullshit about his detractors, trolls and whatnot. Phil is actually going to have to defend his application and answer truthfully and explain why he filled out certain things the way he did.

Now there may be audio recordings available, so possibly some people on KF are going to get into that (like they did with the filing), so I am really looking forward to that dya.

In other news, Phil fucking got stuck on a puzzle in KotoR, saying the game was just doing things at random. Again, he is talking about the game like it is some kind of sentient being out there to fuck over Phil, and shaming it will make it rescind or something. This man is baffling.

I was watching a recap of his Doom 2 playthrough, and damn his reflexes are fucking awful, he even has trouble hitting stationary targets. No wonder he is fucking awful at CoD, and that is WITH aim assist.

But more than that, I have just one comment about his Doom 2 playthrough: if he was half as good in real life at saving as he was in the game, he wouldn't be in any trouble.

At one point he saved, looked at chat, looked back at the game and saved again. What the actual fuck. He had save games often only a minute apart.

He was also save scumming hard during his Castlevania gameplay last night.

He also said he had plans to refinance the house after the bankruptcy.

Like his taxes, it wouldn't surprise me that he sees his debts as one giant bill that he is now making a payment plan for.

He only cares that gets to keep what he perceives is his. Even though he doesn't own any of it, since it hasn't been paid in full, that's just a minor detail. Welp, the cat's out of the bag, so to speak. By the end of the month he'll be having an emergency marathon to gather funds in order to pay bills/taxes, that somehow managed to blindside him (HOW IN THE ACTUAL FUCK ARE YOU SURPRISED, LET ALONE BLINDSIDED, BY REGULAR EXPENSES?)

My guess that it's going to be a 2k minimum goal at the very least. It's weird as shit, since he doesn't pay the CT condo anymore (which means more money), admitted he hasn't paid his taxes in the last 2 years. But somehow, with having a net income of 4k, about to get paid by Twitch (the 15th), not paying taxes, not paying mortgages, he is not raking in enough money for his regular fucking expenses.

Also, if people actually show up and start forking over money, they are no better than Phil. How can you keep giving a man money, who juggles 130.000 dollars in credit card debt, has two houses and outright refuses to sell either one (NOT having to pay 2 mortgages alone would lessen his strain), but is also known now that he simply cannot handle finances properly, since he will NOT be setting money aside for his taxes as he should.

All the people giving Phil money are as exceptional as Phil himself is.

True, and whenever someone makes a suggestion for Phil to make extra money it is always the same excuse: No time, and they are an idiot for suggesting it.

Even though he is in actual financial distress (taking the bankruptcy waaaaayyyyy to lightly), he is also doing abso-fucking-lutly nothing to improve his situation. We already calculated that he "works" 36 hours a week tops, has 5,5 hours in between streams to do whatever the fuck he wants, and if you were to cut his pre-streams, he actually plays games for 24 hours per week. If he'd stream for 5 hours per day on set times, cut the pre-streams, he'd have all the time in the world to do whatever the fuck he wants, including doing things to help improve his situation.

-He could get a part-time job to supplement his income.
-He could start editing content, he'd get more Youtube views, and more income.
-He could do DSP tries it by popular demand. At worst he could earn his meals back.
-He could do "Cooking with the King", again, by popular demand. Worst that could happen, is again, earn his meals back.

Things Phil should do, which also tremendously would help his income:

-Stop being a variety streamer. Pick a couple of "core" games, play a new release here and there, but stick to your strengths, this will build viewer retention.
-Stop breaking up your "schedule", play whatever you feel like playing and have fun. This again, will build viewer retention. Regardless of when someone tunes in, they know what to expect.
-Drop the fucking pre-stream.
-Drop the fucking boomer segments.
-Don't clock out the second you are "done".
-FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOLY USE THE MUTE BUTTON.

And common sense bullshit:

-Stop talking about your finances.
-Treat your audience with the respect they deserve.
-Not everyone is out to get you, people do legitimately want to help you.
-Be humble.
-Laugh at your fuck ups.
-USE THE FUCKING MUTE BUTTON.

None of these things are hard, he pretends like he can't do anything because of time constraints (bullshit), he never once considered changing his schedule (don't fucking know why), but he never listens to his audience (ego), and does the absolute minimum but still complains.

I am not a streamer, nor do I watch streamers. I don't give a fuck about someone like Ninja, but I really do understand why he is popular.

I really fucking hope Phil learns some humility. I don't wish anyone ill, including Phil, but everything he does is undoing himself. Everyone and anyone helping him will be met with ridicule, that is what makes him so unlikable.

There are so many easy changes he could make, but he prefers to do nothing while he blames his downward spiral on everyone else. He could be living in a cardboard box in an alley without a penny to his name and he'd still swear to God he did nothing wrong.

As someone who watches a lot of streamers, you pretty much hit the nail on the head about what Phil can do to improve his situation, including all of the little things.

• Use fucking automated software to keep track of donations, bits and sub count. If people do troll donations, grow some thick skin and ignore them (but still thank them for the money). Of course, I'd imagine a good number of the money he earns is through these troll bits/donations. Also, he has to stop doing what he does to manually type in donations/sub counts/bits like every 5-10 minutes.
• Quit snorting and doing all of that shit into the mic. It's disgusting and no one wants to hear it. If you really have a problem, go see a fucking doctor already about it.
• He claims to have no time, but we know he is doing fuck all between the streams. If need to, start a little earlier and do a single stream per day, even if you go a few extra hours. This would give him more time at night to be with Kat, do other things and maybe even bring back some stuff like DSP Tries It.
• Clean up your stream. Get rid of the annoying as fuck music at the beginning and play some real music. Again, no one wants to hear your remixes that are downright terrible to even think about. He doesn't put the remixes of himself on Youtube, so why the hell doesn't he play real music instead? Cleaning up your stream also means getting rid of the hour-long pre-stream bullshit every single day, where he complains about his finances. He can still talk for a little bit before the streams, but no one wants to hear his constant begging on a daily basis.

I know a lot of people don't like Tevin, but his streams are what I would consider chill. He's just hanging out and laughing at Phil.

It's really gonna depend on March 5th. The creditors get to look at his application and ask Phil questions. There are like going to be inquiries about the inconsistencies we all have noticed.

If he doesn't show up though....

So unscathed? It would be possible Phil's teack record. But he is lying about his income, filing all his normal expenses as business expenses, lying about having electronics and having a pet. He is lowballing the price of his condo to get it exempt, and he will have to explain his debts based on an income of roughly 10k a month.

Someone gave Phil a 200 dollar tip. Not only did someone give Phil 200 dollars, they did this when Phil was taking a fucking 45 minute break.

Phil was also guilt tripping his audience hard. You see, the "feds" might be cracking doen on him because of his taxes. You know, the money you are supposed to set aside as you earn money. The money he hasn't paid in 2 years.

The things/situations Phil need money for have been increasing at an exorbitant rate. From downpayments, to lawyers, to being blindsided by his mortgage, and fuck knows what more.

And even though he needs more money than ever, he is still not taking any responsibility for anything, other than letting his viewers pay for the financial mess he has created.

How people can continue to give Phil money is beyond me.

You know, speaking of Phil's finances, I've touched on this before but really want to go more in depth this.

For Phil, Chapter 7 would be the best possible situation. Only stuff that is exempt will be liquidated, the rest of the debt after that goes away. This is ideal for Phil, because he loses the least this way.

For the creditors, and that is the side I want to shed some more light on, Chapter 13 would be far more preferable. Under Chapter 13 nothing gets liquidated, and a payment plan is made so that you pay off the most you can, in an attempt to pay everything back in like 5 years or so. Anything after that is then gone. Creditors get the most this way.

Creditors will try to make a case for Chapter 13, since they will see most of their money. In order to make their case, they will have to go through Phil's finances in order to point out whether he qualifies for Ch. 13 or not. They will have questions. Such questions will include how Phil justifies having an average of over 5.000 dollars each month in business expenses, and most notably: over 9.000 dollars in July last year. And I want you all to take not of that. In order to qualify for Chapter 7, your median income needs to be around 5.500 (which is the average for a family with 2 kids). Phil seems to be doing everything in his power to get close that that. Currently his median is about 5.700 (I haven't done the exact math.

HOWEVER.

He had a lot of extra income during the month of July, which seems to me (and yes, we are approaching conspiracy theory levels of thinking here, but I don't feel like I am that far off the mark...) the reason why he filed 9.000 dollars of expenses, in stead of 5.000. See, if Phil were to file his regular 5.000 dollars, his median would go up by 670 dollars average per month, putting him well over the maximum to qualify for Ch. 7. This might also be the reason why he submitted on the 31st of January, exactly at the end of the month, again, in order to get as close to the median as possible.

So Phil can be expecting a lot of questions regarding his expenses. He'll have to justify why he is filing his normal monthly expenses, all, under business. His meals, his car (which he barely uses), why he is putting BOTH his mortgages there, etc. Because it kind of looks like fraud. He also lowballed the value of his WAcondo, using a certain site that uses (apparantly, don't take me up 100% on this) incorrect listings, or hasn't listed his house at all and only gives an approximation.

Credits are allowed to have his house valued if I am not mistaken. I think Phil filled out that his house is worth around 372.000 dollars, while the proper site lists it around being worth 450.000+ dollars. This is again done to try to get his house exempted. Phil may not have meant to commit fraud, but filing the way he did, it is looking a lot like fraud.

I imagine creditors also have questions about him listing no for pets, but also listing 100 dollars for pet expenses. And given the fact that this was an electronic form, they will very much want to know how he justifies not having electronics.

The most likely scenario at the moment is he either gets converted to Ch.13, or it gets dismissed based on all the inconsistencies.

I hope Phil isn't going to be dumb enough to not show, because then he is far FAR worse off. He'll have a really hard time explaining a lot of shit on his forms, and if he is going to be honest (and I really hope for his sake, he'll fucking honest just this once) it'll get converted to Ch. 13.

If he is trying to lie, things will go south fast. The people asking the questions aren't his average viewers which he can scold calling them idiots and lean in to manually ban them. There are actual real world consequences this time, and he can't bullshit his way out of them.

Do we know if his lawyer will be there or not? I'm wondering if Phil will turn to his lawyer to help him answers those questions so he doesn't fuck himself by giving a bad answer.

Hard to say, if his lawyer is going to be present, Phil will have to pay. This might be why he is having a "fundraiser" the end of the month, to cover those expenses. Having said that, I doubt a lawyer can help salvage the mess of the application Phil has produced, even with a lawyer, Phil will have to justify his expenses and everything else I mentioned.
