in the general this guy won't matter because nobody will know or care about who he is. again, if you care about optics for the general the answer is don't let him get pushed off his own stage. the second he looks weak and ineffective is the second he gets eaten alive and he's very, very prone to having that happen to him. if that social fringe doesn't ruin it for him, he'll be fine with optics. they'd be ten times worse than that pro-charter school group that protested warren a few months ago.

Trump's establishment people are smart enough to be quiet. Think about how many votes he would have lost if the Bush clan endorsed him!

Republicans were never stooges. They are smart. But sure, in keeping with their core principle of devotion to power above all, they may switch from establishment to maverick positions from year to year or month to month or even minute to minute.

But then we'd be choosing the most ignorant people in the country to judge its president, which cannot be good law.

The defendant can waive his right to trial by jury though, and I suspect he may waive it with an agreement that he is to be tried by the Senate.

His co-conspirator, Michael Cohen, is in jail right now for crimes he committed together with Donald Trump.

So...no, I'd be surprised if the courts didn't find him guilty of some crimes.

Not like it would be the first time he's been on the wrong side of the law, either--he was caught defrauding people with Trump University, he settled for $25 million. He was caught refusing to rent apartments to black people, and then caught refusing to follow a court order to allow black people to rent his appartments, got punished by the courts both times. He was just recently found to be illegally using funds in his charities, paid out $2 million for that. He has a history of breaking the law, and getting caught.

Now, I'm not holding my breath that he'll face jail time or anything--he usually manages to wiggle out of these situations by paying a fine and going on with his life. But it's a safe bet that the feds will catch him in more crimes--the story about the fraudulent use of his charity and the money he was forced to cough up was...like...30 days ago.

Michael Cohen was found guilty of committing said campaign finance violation on his orders beyond a reasonable doubt, which means that Trump can be found guilty as well. Saying he can't be is to say that he's above the law (which he will not be once he's no longer a president armed with accomplices willing to let him get away with shooting a guy in the middle of Fifth Avenue in the Senate).

If the King orders a minister to break the law and the minister does it, what happened in the eyes of the law? Why, the minister gave the King bad advice, and needs to be held responsible for it.

For the King can do no wrong in the eyes of the law. How could he? The law, being below the King and flowing from him, cannot judge him. It cannot even imagine the concept of a lawbreaking King, which is a contradiction in itself. It is a logical impossibility.

Saying someone can be found guilty is not the same as someone is guilty. Also, I don't think Cohen was found within a reason of doubt. I believe he made a plea. It means he is guilty, but he wasn't found to be.

Iran stupidly shot down 178 civilians because of a war with Trump. Trump definitely shares the blame and his fanboys shriek when hearing that fact.

But the fact is, this IS war. No one decided to make 6000 US soldiers commit suicide when invading Iraq. No one decided to kill a million middle easterns by creating a power vacuum for ISIS to form. And no one decided to shoot down this airplane of 178 people. But EVERY SINGLE WARMONGER INVOLVED IS RESPONSIBLE because this IS what war is about. The absolute worst atrocities that you can't even imagine, that even the worst stories can't compare to, they are nonsense bullshit accidental side effects that no one can predict because this shit is pure chaos, by definition, always.

Please think about this for even 1 second the next time you support ANY kind of war action (including sanctions, yes). You support the chaos knowing what the result will be. The blood is on your hands and on Trump's hands and indeed on your hands.
