How old were you in '99?

How old CE?

And what were your thoughts on the prequels at the time?

I was 6 in 99 and TPM was one of the first movies I can remember seeing in theaters.

I enjoyed the prequels then and still can find enjoyment within them even now, though I'm much more aware of the issues they have.

Though as a kid I did watch all the bonus features for the prequels, to include all 6 hours worth of bonus features for Attack of the Clones.

I was 13.

Pretty cool. I enjoyed watching TPM and was thrilled to see kid Darth Vader. I didn't even dislike Jar Jar. (for that matter, still don't mind Jar Jar that much, though I acknowledge and understand the gripes about him).

Liked RotS when that came out, too. Though I've disliked AotC quite a bit when it first came out, recent events have induced me to decide it wasn't all that bad as I first thought, skin-crawling romance scenes and dialogue and destroying R2's character notwithstanding.

Have you seen any of them, or is it just not your kind of genre?

Haven't seen any of them. It just never really seemed very appealing to me. I don't watch many movies either.

I was 9 when TPM came out.

I saw each one when it came out and I enjoyed them at the time, thought they were pretty good (especially Revenge of the Sith, which came out when I was in high school). I can't remember too much of what I thought of TPM because I was too young/it was too long ago, but I remember thinking Darth Maul was cool.

I've never sat down and re-watched them as an adult (in fact, the only time I ever sat down and watched TPM all the way through was that one time in theaters at 9) so I couldn't really say what I think now, but I've re-watched some clips on YouTube and I can definitely see the corniness in the dialogue.

I was 13 when TPM came out. I was drunk on all the connections and explanations and stuff not to mention being entertained by it. "We will watch your career with great interest." Star Wars was back.

Then I loved AOTC, for pretty much the same reasons. The Coruscant stuff was cool. From the time Mace Windu walks out into the arena until the end was totally exhilarating. Palpatine is loading up Star Destroyers. Holy shit it's getting real. Star Wars

ROTS what can I say. It was incredible then and has only gotten better. It was not just that it was the main event, but it was better focused, better acted, less juvenile, ect. Legendary shit. As good as Star Wars gets. I still like 1 and 2 even though they haven't totally held up, but ROTS is great

Same.

I kinda liked episode one the first time I saw it but it was really just that I was excited to see a new star wars movie. I later took a dimmer view of the trilogy

thanks to Disney plus I just rewatched the PT since they've first aired in theaters (as well as the OT) and holy shit are Ep1 and Ep2 just irredeemably awful movies. 1 moreso than 2 but still

6 or 7.

I'm pretty sure I slept through Episodes 1 and 2 in theaters. 3 was the first one that kept my attention.

6-7

Didn't see any of them in theaters but I do remember the hype around them, as well as asking for lightsabers for Christmas. The merch was significantly better too

honestly don't remember a whole lot about it. just about all of my enjoyment from prequel-related material came from games like Battlefront, Republic Commando, and Lego Star Wars

I thought the phantom menace was horrible and it turned me off to the subsequent movies which was horrible because I loved Star Wars movies before and had been first day first showing to all the rereleases.
