So we got this new employee at the station a couple weeks ago named Amber. She's an idiot. That much is pretty clear within 5 minutes of speaking to her. But this weekend I learned just how stupid she really is.

If you go into the "CSR Functions" menu in our system, there is a button titled "View Amber" which opens a link to a website that tracks any active Amber Alerts in the area. I'm not sure if that's a thing outside the States, but if you haven't heard of it before an Amber Alert is a public alert message sent out whenever a child is reported missing with things like age/clothing/where and when they were last seen, etc.

Amber quit this weekend because she saw this button and now believes that the owner is stalking her and that this button, when pressed, shows him a video feed of wherever she happens to be at the time. She is absolutely convinced of this fact and her response when she was told what it actually did was "if it's for Amber Alerts it would have the word Alert on the button."

I mean.................wow. It may actually be the single stupidest thing I have ever personally witnessed in my life. And that's fucking impressive, especially if you've seen a bunch of my stupid customer topics.

So can anyone beat that?

It was one of the holidays and I decided to work to get some inside stuff done for the store. My boss pages me into the office.... to hold open a garbage bag while he nitpicks what can be thrown out from the general desk. Meanwhile I was clearing the front of the store on my own, because I'd rather do that, since it never gets done.

Literally wanted to punch him in the face for that. Guys an asshole. Pulled me into the office on the 23rd for taking my 15 min break 1 hour before I got off because and I quote "Nobody knew where you were to, if there is a fire you would be wrote up as missing". Told that to my mom, whose pretty lax about these kinds of things and she looked at me and said "none of his fucking business where your to. Your on your 15 minute break."

Can't wait to quit that shitty job. But not before reporting him and the other manager to HR for harassment(as this is like the 5th time they have pulled me aside for nonsense, another time was because I brought a coffee in to work, another time was because I was having stomach issues and had used the bathroom too many times during a shift, seriously.... real petty stuff.)

I had a teenager say to me last month "Oh, Thanksgiving is on a Thursday this year? That's weird, I thought it was the 26th"

I had so many stupid ones working at the San Francisco airport but the one that sticks out the most is annoying, delusional, wrestling fan boy who starts trouble with almost everyone at work.

He starts drama with co workers, managers, and anyone else who talks to him wrong. His skin is so thin that almost anything can rattle him.

Im glad his stupid ass got fired. He was so stupid and annoying.

Ive had that before. Some loser that thought he was a real tough guy but was really offended by the littlest shit. One day i saw 2 co workers having a conversation about drinking the day before, and he just butted in with how he could drink a fifth and not be fazed and how he drank a whole bottle of 190 proof one time. The coworkers were so fed up with this guy that they called him out and straight up told him he was a liar.

Naturally tough guy took these as fighting words. he told him he would beat both of them down and this and that. They called his bluff and said "lets do it right here right now". Of course the tough guy backed down and made some excuses. But every day after that, whenever he tried his "one up" bullshit, they would call him out on it. It was pretty funny.

Have a woman who "works" near me who I think is literally too dumb to be considered human. She constantly tries to tell other people (especially those who have worked there longer than her) how to do their job, in some of the most wrong ways possible, constantly forgets how to do her own job, and will honestly believe almost anything you tell her. Up to and including that unicorns are real and that there's dinosaurs at the circus

I wish we could have some people fired at work. Literally they wouldn't show up for weeks on end and they still keep their job.
