I quite like turkey bacon, but it's nothing like regular bacon. I feel like too many people go in expecting regular bacon and get angrily disappointed when they get something different.

There really isnt another animal like the fatty deposits like pigs/hogs have.

Bovines for example have larger muscle groups so the fat to meat ratio is off on a smaller scale piece like a strip of bacon.

You need muscle groups that are small and surrounded by lots of fat. Not really found else where in the animal kingdom that most cultures eat.

My wife said "try it. I know you'll like it." But she was wrong. Very wrong. I also told her it was unfair that she could say that and I'd try things but anytime I say it, it's an automatic rejection

They sell beef bacon at a specialty grocery store near me and it is wonderful. I looked into why it was not more popular and generally people don't like beef bacon as much because it is leaner, so it doesn't quite have the same appeal as pork bacon. Whatever this particular brand does is pretty awesome though.

I got use to it because of my mom. Clearly pork bacon will always be the best one. I never hated turkey bacon though and use to buy it myself awhile back.

I've heard good things about beef bacon, though I've never tried it myself.

They do make bacon out of other things, it's just pork bacon is the most popular and widely sold one.

Duck Bacon exists, for example.

Turkey Bacon also exists as someone already said but, as turkey lacks the fat required to actually be anything like pork bacon, it's basically an alternative health product rather than being anything like you expect bacon to be like.

they grind up other parts of the bird, form it into a bacon shape and smoke it

Ostrich's are pretty dang calorie efficient (in terms of factory farming) so I wonder why there aren't more Ostrich farms

Also, ostritch is very good, possibly my favorite bird meat out of the birds I've had, (chicken, duck, goose, turkey, quail), but gazelle is possibly the best meat I've ever had. It even edges out venison, and I really, really like venison. Gazelle is just on another level. Ibex is a close second, venison (deer) is a very close third. Venison is however far more available than the rest. Bear is hit or miss, so is moose and elk.

If I had to pick a last meal, a gazelle New York strip would be my first choice.

In a survival situation, all bets are off, but having sampled a surprising cross-section of exotic game, gazelle is by far my favorite.

Snakes suck unless frog is your jam. Snake is too close to tripe on taste and texture and I really dislike tripe.
