They often engage with the trolls. They FEED the trolls. And then they try to justify it by saying, "They're just so entertaining!" They don't realize how much they are contributing to the problem. They need to admit that they love the trolls. They RELY on the trolls. It gives them a sense of superiority to call them trolls and argue with them.
