Some of them, sure, but if you treat the event like a job interview what motivation would anybody have to hire him after this stunt? Like, imagine you are applying for a job and decided when you got to the parking lot that you didn't like the conditions so you instead interviewed yourself outside with a bunch of your friends and you treated it as a win because HR came out to see what the hell was going on, meanwhile the rest of the panel that was slated to interview him is just sitting in a room wondering why they wasted their money flying out in the first place.

I hope you're just being yourself and don't actually think that's an accurate representation of what happened.

No reason to have it closed off to the media, besides giving cover to people who want to claim that he's regressed. No reason for them to be cagey about who would be there, which WRs he'd be throwing to, etc.

"Let that one sink in. The league, under the guise of acting out of the goodness of its own heart and/or to assuage the guilt of 32 months of Kaepernick being wrongfully denied an opportunity, set up a workout for all teams (even though any team could work him out at any time) and then, as he showed up for it, asked him to sign a waiver that not only protected the league and the Falcons against a torn ACL or some other injury that could have happened during the workout but also exonerated the league of any and all responsibility for the violations of his rights that may have (have) occurred since he grievance was settled in February."

Just...LOL NFL. The workout was a sham from the start, of course, but claiming that it was Kaepernick acting in bad faith is some Olympic-quality gas lighting.

That's the same waiver the league asks any player to sign when they hold a workout.

Did this stunt help or hurt his chances of being picked up by a team?

The only interpretation that doesn't involve him sabotaging himself is the one where this whole thing was a sham and he never was going to get picked anyway, at which point what he did was a smart but cynical media maneuver meant to get free attention at the NFL's expense. Which still hurts his chances of ever play in the NFL again.

This isn't rocket science and Kaepernick isn't stupid. Whether or not you think that the NFL is giving him a fair shot, his actions were still carefully designed to drum up media attention at the expense of any chance of playing in the NFL again.

You're ignoring the second part of that quote where the league was trying to prevent a future lawsuit against continued collusion. But that's to be expected, you often don't acknowledge things that disagree with your bias

Anyway Kap isn't signed because his talent level isn't worth the drama associated with it. But this whole thing was a sham and a PR stunt from the start by the league, so I'm glad Kap said fuck it and blew it up.

Man, please. You embarrass yourself @E_Reid35 every single time you open your mouth. You of all people talking of tap dancing when youre the one collecting a check from the very institution you collect a check from. You @E_Reid35, who takes a knee supposedlyfor brothers Yet attack brothers Malcolm Jenkins, Jay-Z, ME at every turn the second someone disagrees with you. You @E_Reid35
got the nerve to call out the @NFL
when your beef was suppose to be with society in regards to police brutality and racial oppression. Wheres your plan?Huh @E_Reid35? To call our or beat up everyone who utters a word you disagree with? All Brithers, BTW. Let me tell you something Mr. @E_Reid35: Kaepernick has been supported. Weve all said he was done wrong. That he was blackballed. That he should be in the league. Who the hellHasnt acknowledged that? But life isnt fair. It damn sure aint ideal. And at some point, youve got the grab the opportunity. Kaps occurred today. And what does he do: alters the process, and shows up with a T-Shirt alluding to SLAVERY @E_Reid35. For a JOB INTERVIEW! Whenare you yes, you @E_Reid35 going to wake the hell up and realize that maybe, just maybe, the enemy at THIS POINT aint the NFL. Its not Malcolm Jenkins, Jay-Z or ME. Maybe the enemy is YOU, your childish tendencies and your unwillingness to accept that you cant run.......
a damn thing but so much when your hand is out for someone elses dime or product. Especially when you havent played in 3 years, when you were 1-10 in your last 11 games as a starter and the top-4 league MVP candidates are all black @E_Reid35. When will you learn?
Chances are.....you wont. Because your ears are clogged and youre too blinded by vitriol to see when a brother is showing you yall love and respect @E_Reid35 by simply letting you know what will work at what wont. But oh, I forgot: we all aint S&@$ in your world. So...why even bother. Youll never listen. But others will hear @E_Reid35
. You can bet the house on that. Just listen. Its coming from the multitude of places. And its damn sure like a storm on @FirstTake
Monday morning. So buckle the hell up!
Good luck on Sunday. Sincerely!

I think it has a non-negative impact on his chances of being picked up by a team. The teams that were actually there because they were honestly considering him aren't going to care that they had to drive an hour away to see him do his work-out elsewhere. You're talking about people who go to backwater D3 college games in hopes of scoping out some hidden talent.

Team executives already thought this whole situation was weird to begin with. The NFL doesn't normally get involved in workouts like this, it's always a team initiated thing. You're also talking about a league where front offices are willing to look past a LOT of stuff if they think it will bring them wins. If they think that Kap will get them some wins, they don't give a **** about whether he made the NFL FO look bad in a weird out of the blue workout, since they still got to see what they needed from the workout he did.

Kaep knows that's what would happen, which is likely why he sabotaged this workout to make sure he'll never have the chance to get exposed. The victim train and all the money and attention it brings would end at that point.

Thats what I was thinking. Playing victim is very profitable right now, however I love the irony of him hating whites and blaming them for his problems when he is half white and was adopted by white parents.

He is tapping into a good market though, now he just needs to release a shirt/book/movie about the struggle along with a #word and he will never actually need to play again, and then he can tell people how he could have been the greatest, if only he wasn't held back.

Also a great stepping stone for future victim playing, because future playerss can say "Oh just like Kapernick." The left is great at extorting their people for money, and its amazing to the other side because its like they don't even realize they are getting played, whatever the hot topic is, they'll give it money.
