Barry Allen is gifted with perception fast enough to practically freeze time to a perfect stand-still. But when an unknown figure breaches the Fortress of Solitude to slice Lex Luthor in half, it's Barry who reveals the attacker moved too quicklyfor him to even recognize. Considering Martian Manhunter's grotesque and massive form when he actually did it, that is saying something.

No. AUs like DCeased (this comic) have to have its characters act out of character so everything isn't just solved. That being said, it looks like Barry was blinded in this particular instance.

He probably has been at times. Then again, Batman has probably been faster than the Flash at times. Comic books are notorious for feats and comparisons that don't make sense, power mixing/swapping, temporary buffs and debuffs, gadgets that have effects that make no sense, and doing anything necessary for an upset.

Basically this. The more understandable solution is that J'onn, being capable of turning invisible and phasing through objects, simply surprised Barry.

Ah so DCs reaching Marvel levels of shit writing now?

Comic books dip into whatever level of shit writing is needed at any given moment.

There was a time when Wonder Woman biggest weakness was bondage (specifically, being tied up by a man), and it used to be viable (may still be) to beat Green Lantern to death with a phonebook.

DC characters have such stupid powers that any storyline featuring them usually devolves into absolute stupidity.

How does something that moves faster than light lose to anything that isn't moving faster than light? It's essentially impossible. And I don't mean in a, "Well, TECHNICALLY blah blah blah" type thing. The Speed of Light is the speed of causality. Moving faster than that would, by definition, move you backwards in time. Moving AT light speed, even something that is moving 99.99% of light speed would look stationary to you. But then, blah blah blah Speedforce. What's the point in making you character faster than light if you just going to say, WELL! The Speedforce actually makes it so Light Speed/FTL travel has none of the characteristics of Light Speed/FTL travel, so it doesn't count! That's like my super power being the strongest person in the Universe, but I'm always weaker than whoever I'm fighting too. It literally defeats the purpose.

DC does this for a lot of their characters. They don't understand moderation.

Hence Speedforce. The Speedforce lets Flash ignore physical problems with going fast like this and killing people he's carrying via acceleration.

In canons where Superman is faster than Flash, they often use this to explain why Flash is faster anyway. Sure Superman can go 14 thousand times faster than light or whatever but he doesn't want to destroy Earth so he only does it in outer space and limits himself to speeds far slower than Flash can reach while on Earth.

Yeah I think a lot of people in this topic aren't realizing this isn't mainline DC. I assume DCeased is pretty much exactly like Marvel Zombies. Lots of character death and the zombies becoming freakishly more powerful than the characters are in the normal universe.

Right. It's kind of how superhero comics are. Action movies have guns and explosions, superhero comics use comic book logic. The idea is for the characters to be so powerful that they defy logic. The weirder and more mind-bending the better.

That's the other half of comic book logic. Why doesn't Iron Man just hover a mile high and snipe the baddy with lasers? Why does Superman always forget he has heat vision?

Because... Uh... Uh... It takes too much concentration or something.
