I am really glad I live in a time where people are more than happy to brag about spending $13 a month on literal dog shit.

My favorite was when Shitthesda's support system glitched out, so random users could see everyone else's help tickets (including personal information like addresses and contact info).

I have no fucking idea what Bethesda is doing anymore.

It's like they're actively trying to ruin their reputation and the minute you want to let up on them just a little bit, they do something even more greedy and shitty the next time.

There's nothing wrong with banning a player for essentially testing a bug in the game and reporting it to Bethesda?

They're just lazy assholes. They've always had terrible post-launch support for their games, and starting with Skyrim they've been minimizing and streamlining the content of their games.

I don't know why the hell anyone would want Fallout 76, a DayZ/Rust knock-off that came five years too late, based on an engine literally designed around singleplayer gameplay that can't even accommodate Field of View changes, which was advertised as having basically no meaningful content at launch.

A lot of game developers have been doing this shit though.

I thought Ubisoft had turned over a new leaf with AC Origins and GR Wildlands. Then they push out Odyssey and Breakpoint and it's just these microtransaction-intensive games with massive ass empty worlds and broken mechanics.

Oh that one I just found funny. That there's basically a war between subscribers and non-subscribers.

The Map 76 shit is beyond fucked up.

Laziness is one thing. Refusing to cancel people's subscriptions after it's found out that the features they were promised don't work is just being a scumbag.

For fuck's sake, even EA would start throwing the players a bone by this point.

It's kind of shitty since I liked Origins and I love the Watch Dogs series.... but this whole Breakpoint fiasco and pushing back virtually all their big projects makes me question wtf kind of direction they are/were heading in.

Before this came out. I remember getting in a debate with someone who blamed the people who bought Fallout 76. Saying that should have known better. However at this point I have do agree with that poster. If you got Fallout 1st then you should not complain when they does this shit to you.

I'm really glad I listened to all the negative feedback on that game because I did want it initially. I tried it on a free trial weekend or whatever at some point recently and it really did suck, if I would have paid money for it at any point I'd be mad.

Same. Except I rented it to see for myself. I actually had an initial 11 hour gaming session. But then when I stepped I realized there was literally nothing to draw me back to play again. You gotta make a game WAAAY better if Im just getting on to wonder around aimlessly.

All it takes is a relatively small amount of fans who are dumb with money and whales who have money to help ruin a game series for everyone. Of course the main blame is on Bethesda, but they might could have possibly not gone down this road if people didn't buy 76 and this subscription crap.

These fans are ruining single player games.

I don't fucking get it. This the kind of fan you want as a developer. Someone who finds exploits, and instead of abusing them he reports them. And the dev doesn't have to thank them or reward them. Just patch the errors and be done with it.

The last thing you want, if your game is already taking heat for being shit, is add fuel to that fire. Bethesda is already the laughing stock of the gaming industry with their Fallout 1st subscription model. Now they are banning people who are actually being helpful to them.

It's because Bethesda has zero experience with online games. They see "exploit found" and think "better get rid of the guy before he shares it with other people" instead of "better get rid of the exploit before other people start doing it".
