There's a video of it there.

Just imagine how excited China is for a near future when they can punish people for thinking bad thoughts about the Communist party.

What are your thoughts on seizing the means of production, comrade?

That would be spectacular. We would be able to identify trump supporters for self-improvement via reprogramming. What a wonderful world that would be.

This wasn't directed at me but I'll answer it because I agreed with him. I personally have no interest in production of any kind so I wouldn't bother to seize it.

Thank you. As Marx said, from each according to his ability and to each according to his need. Others can seize the means of production and you will still benefit from it, comrade.

In the video the teachers monitor the brain waves of the students to study trends on how particular students's activities are during the session.

You know all in all this is some rather interesting tech but nevertheless we might see this in the West pretty soon ourselves.

Nah fuck that noise and anyone advocating it in the west.

It's gonna happen, they just have to market it as something trendy like smart phones (which already track/record everything about you and what you do). They're already teasing microchips and AI brain integration.

If you've attended a State University in the US, you likely are already being tracked, just not to this level.

I've been to a few university big data workshops, and they use your student ID card to track everything you do. Every time you swipe your ID to get into your dorm, to get lunch, to check out a library book, visit the wellness center, to get into a classroom building, etc, it goes into a large depository that is used for data analytics to trace your patterns. They've already begun studies to track student movements throughout the day with rate of college success.

One of the things I learned at these meetings is that this is such a new field, that there are not yet any guidelines in place to secure student privacy. It's a trial and error approach, and as students become even more connected (i.e. through university-sponsored apps), they'll be able to see even more of what you do.

How recent is this? Just curious because I went to college 15+ years ago >_> so I'm wondering if it was still applicable back then.
