I will support you on the ugly thing, but not because it's a biological fact but a cultural hangup. Ugly guys, at least in western cultures, just stay ugly. We can work out and stay in shape, but our faces can still be fucked. Ugly women, however, can drastically improve their looks.

We've made makeup on men such a taboo thing and it drives me crazy. I didn't really think anything of it until my girlfriend gave me some of her color correction stuff for some redness on my nose. I was complaining about looking like Rudolph since I never got pimples on my nose and one had suddenly sprouted right on the tip. This powder made it completely disappear in seconds. They have so many options to correct their imperfections which is awesome, and we shame guys that do anything more than moisturize.

Except it is a myth. If women worked in the same fields as men, they would make the same. Go on any construction site, oil rig, etc. 99% of the employees there are men. I have never seen a female iron worker, welder, crane operator, etc (not saying there aren't any but I have never seen one on the dozens of job sites I've worked on). These jobs are all high paying because of the inherent danger and the much longer working hours. The same goes with STEM fields. The vast majority are of people in those fields are men.

Some chick working at the Gap for 38 hours per week shouldn't be making remotely close to as much as the guy working as an iron working doing 70+ hours per week.

Yeah. There is a large portion that can be explained by career choice, hours worked, stuff like that, but there's still a bit that can't be explained.

The thing about the wage gap is that it's a flawed concept. Think of this scenario:

- John and Jane graduate from school with the same degree and GPA and get the same job at the same time.
- John and Jane gets the same wage.
- John and Jane work 8 hours per day, at a rate of 10$ per hour (low, I know, it's just so I can do easy math).
*Jane gets pregnant*
- John works 8 hours a day, Jane gets maternity leave
- John starts working 9 hours a day now to pick up some of the stuff Jane is not doing. Extra 5 hours per week of pay (REEEEEEE! WAGE GAP! HE IS GETTING PAID $50 MORE PER WEEK!)
- Jane takes off 6 months year to take care of Jane Jr, John kept accumulating experience and visibility at his job.
- Jane comes back, now she has to take breastfeeding breaks and she has to work 6 hours a day (REEEEEE! John is making $100 more per week! WAGE GAAAAAPPP! ... because he is working 10 hours more per week!)

*2 years later*

- Jane must take some hours off the day to get the kids to day care, to pick them up from day care, and things like that. She has to go see her kid's festival dance, etc, John works 10 hour days now.
- John gets promoted, now he is Jane's boss and he is making $11.20 per week. RRRREEEEE WAGE GAAAPPPPP!!!! Why is she making 1.20$ less?!?!!

^ I do agree there is a lot of inequality that affects women, I just don't believe in the concept of the wage gap. Women make some life choices or career choices that contribute to it.

-Get fucked over in divorce, even if she cheated depending on the state
-Much less likely to get custody of kids, even if father would actually be better for their wellbeing

Marriage ain't worth it unless you get really lucky and find a good one. But they're rare anymore.

I just listened to a respected man on a radio show say he cried during getting a tattoo yesterday. Nothing happened to him. If it was 20 years ago I could understand the argument of men not bring able to show emotion or cry but it's not. Also, I grew up in a literal gang of cousins. They all kept things deep deep down. I was the guy that showed most of my friends you don't have to act like a pussy just cause you got emotions and weaknesses. I just express my emotions with an arrogance that says "fuck you if you think it makes me weak". I wasn't born that open. I had to slowly build myself into someone who didn't get self conscious everytime I talked about myself. Most you guys just don't want to go through the effort and would rather bitch that you can't.
