wolfy42 09/27/19 1:10:36 PM #1:	So on the 24th I went to olive garden for the NEPB, I knew my belly had shrunk and didn't figure it was actually worth going anymore for me, because if I went for a normal dinner and got 3 meatballs added on, I was too full to even finish the pasta. But somehow magic happened, a bit of the old me who could eat unlimited food came out. I had both the original bowl of pasta (rigatoni which is less filling then the spagetti I guess) and a second smaller bowl of spagetti....along with 9.......yup 9 freaking meatballs lolz. I was proud of myself, but quite full. I like their meatballs more then their pasta tbh, and they upped the cost of buying the meatballs to go significantly (it's like 20$ for 8 of them now!!). You can get around that price by eating there, as it's $3.50 for 3 meatballs, and you can get it multiple times. NEPB is $13 and they upped the cost of meatballs to $4 and change. So your still paying $20 after tip and tax (think it was $22). So this leaves me with a delima. I pretty much just liked the meatballs and it's the same cost to buy 8 of them (any time) to go, with meat sauce on top, as it is to get the NEPB. Here is what I am going to do though.....I noticed they gave me a to go container last time. I didn't actually take anything home......but....I am going to try and see if I can take some meatballs and the pasta from the second bowl, home with me. In that case I could eat like 8 meatballs there, and the first bowl of pasta + soup, then bring 3 meatballs home with me along with the second bowl of pasta. That would totally be worth the price of $22 or so...and better then the normal 8 for $20 setup (I don't actually tip for to go orders normally, so it's pretty much the same price as NPB with tip). Do wish they would actually soak the meatballs in sauce like they used to. They seem to leave them out and just add sauce at the end now. They had a charity event a few weeks ago, whatever you donated to the event they gave you in gift cards and on monday it was double what you donated. You can only use $20 at a time, and it's $45$ a pop to eat there (after tax and tip I usually just leave $60). NEPB is 1/3rd the price or close....and just as filling (and I really like the meatballs) so it's a good deal, but yeah, I generally go to the steakhouse once a month or so. Gotta use the last $25 before October 15th, so probably will go next week (only can use gift cards M-Thursday). I generally only get the skirt steak and beef rib at the steakhouse (sometimes I get the lamb chops as well). Took me awhile to narrow it down to my favorites. I can't eat that much anymore (not much more then a pound of meat) so if I let them distract me with other stuff, I end up not getting to eat much of the foods I really like. IF I focus on the beef rib + skirt I get at least 1/2 a pound of each, and probably more like a pound of the beef rib. Honestly it's pretty horrid ratio of food to price though. Beef rib (basically pot roast) is super cheap lol, and at $60 for the meal, 1 pound of pot roast (Even if I somehow ate 2 pounds) is extremely expensive. So I may stop going eventually if I can start making decent roasts at home again. Sadly my roasts have all sucked (almost all my food isn't that great when I cook it now). I am not sure what happened, I used to be a great cook, but my memory blows and I guess my luck, cause even my pasta sauce wasn't that good last time. wolfy42 09/27/19 2:36:34 PM #5:	I have but wasn't impressed at all. You can get Argentine shrimp for $8 a pound and they are Delicious!!). I tried the shrimp at red lobster and had a bunch of different choices, but honestly if your going for all you can eat, king crab is better if there is anywhere near you that serves it (casino's etc), and usually about the same price. Otherwise, just get a pound or 2 (I'd aim for 1 1/2 personally) of Argentine Shrimp ...super delicious and fast to cook. The more expensive places (haegen etc), have them in a bag already peeled (the ones at safeway etc are deveined but not peeled). That is about $10 a pound (almost worth it for saving you the time and having the shrimp shells in your garbage stinking it up). I am a master at getting the meat out of king crab legs though. I don't need any tools and can get it all out in about 10 seconds per leg heh. I mentioned that the cost of the never ending pasta bowl + the meatballs was over 20$, which seemed alot for lunch, especially since I pretty much just wanted the meatballs. I had her check if I could just get them (since you can normally add 3 for $3.50) to any meal. Turns out you can order just sides of meatball for $1.50 each!! So I got 6 of them (they are covered with meat sauce), for $9...with tax it was 9.87, and with tip $12 even, so $2 a meatball when everything was said and done, and that was the PERFECT amount of food, I was not overstuffed, I could have even gone shopping afterwards!! Best of all, it's not reliant on the NePB or any other special, I can get it any time. $12 for a yummy meatball lunch!! Yeah! It's less then a pound of ground beef, but honestly I don't make great meatballs anymore, and I have to make a sauce to go with them (to slow cook them in the sauce), so when all is said and done, I'm probably spending close to $10 a pound for meatballs made at home, and they don't taste nearly as good anymore.
