I've seen worse. An anime that came out last fall, The Girl In Twilight, had a gacha game in Japan that shut down its server (the original Japanese server, not even an international one) less than two months after the game launched because the anime and game both performed so badly. However, instead of shutting the game down entirely, they gave everyone every character in the game up to that point and converted it into an offline-only version of the game that wouldn't be updated with events any more, so people could still experience the story if they wanted to.

The anime was an unexpected gem despite a shit budget, and the game had promise but was ruined by a shit gacha system. It's a shame.

Speaking of shutting down, remember Inafune and Level 5's game, Dragons & Colonies? That's shutting down as well, February 17. Launched last summer, got revamped and relaunched this October lol.

I mean I sort of feel bad since I like the Valkyria series, but that Crossing Void can go die in a fire. What kind of gacha doesnt even show your max stamina? Or has a blitz mode that doesnt insta-skip the battles? Its like J-Stars not having a training mode; unheard of for its genre.

Yeah, imagine whaling for a unit then one day they become crap. Some people in my guild in The Alchemist Code have spent 5 digits on the game. I can imagine there would be some outrage if Gumi decided to make some unwelcome nerfs lol

The unit itself is fine, it's a weapon they nerfed. The weapon skills combined with the units basically allowed for the wind team to do constant skills the entire time. I don't blame them at all for knocking that down a peg

6 boxes into the FGO Christmas event. This whole event is ass. Walls of HP and the story bosses are just unfair lol. Fuck the high level nodes, I'm just gonna endlessly farm the Berserker node using Double Abby + Merlin.

The main story is still at chapter 7 (first arc after the main story ended, the "Disappearance of Tendo Maya" arc) and I hope we get chapter 8 soon, but the event stories have been a lot of fun in the meantime. The current Christmas one with Nana and the Rinmeikan girls was great.

The main endgame is still PvP, and while generating brilliance as fast as possible for your climax art is still one of the best ways to win, it's not the only way. The metagame I've seen is actually pretty diverse, though a lot of the best units in the game are semi-limited Brilliance Fest characters.

They've also added a co-op raid mode called Twilight Theater, some new orb grinding stages, extra ranks for characters to reach (rank 9 is the max now) and the extremely difficult Challenge Revue stages for the most diehard players. A special Lancelot Mahiru is the special reward for grinding out the Challenge Revues, and I'd be surprised if even a dozen players have managed to get her on the global server at this point.

I'm afraid I'm not all that into gacha games that much. I'm even putting in the absolute bare minimum effort in the FGO christmas event. Good banner taste though.

Well I finished Another Eden's main story. Pretty damn great pseudo Gacha. If I had to complain about a few things, it would be that the prem currency income is kinda (s)low and that I wish the time to regen keys for the another dungeons was a lot faster as it creates a bit of a bottleneck/timegate. Other than that it's been pretty peachy and I gotta go do more postgame/side stuff now :p
