And I had these saved in a word doc, but I forgot to post it. Some of these don't apply now as said teams are in the playoffs, but whatever.

Teams Most Likely to Lose Division Lead as of Week 12

1. Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens defense is just way, way off this season. After 11 games, it is rated 23rd, and among the eight key defensive metrics, they are only first in their division in one of them (FRs). While Doug Martin is coming off of a strong performance, he has disappeared for long stretches this season. He and QB Ben Roethlisberger seldom have great performances in the same game, and that makes it hard for me to believe in them offensively if they are co-dependent on one guy in each game.

Supplanting Team: Cincinnati Bengals

More on why I am picking them over the Steelers later, but the Jekyll and Hyde Bengals don't have strong peripherals. The Bengals could lose their final four games and I wouldn't be surprised. However, they've shown across this season that they can be the most dominating team in the AFC North, and that's more than than I can about the Ravens or Steelers.

2. Toronto Wildcats

The Wildcats don't have many weaknesses statistically, but they don't really have any strengths either. As one of the healthier teams in the league, that calls into question of their ceiling. With two much stronger and talented teams at their heels, I just believe in their competition more.

Supplanting Team: St. Louis Rams

I have talked about how absurdly unlucky the Rams were at the over the first half of the season despite statistically being an questionable Top 10 team. At 5-6 now, they are just one game back in the division and are on absolute fire with four straight convincing wins. Given the huge hole they dug themselves from, a first-round bye is out of the question, but the NFC West is certainly within their grasp. If that HB corps finds any sort of stability, they could honestly be a SB contender (as long as they don't have to face the Cowboys along the way).

Wild Card Team Most Likely to Lose Spot as of Week 12

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Packers have too big of a lead, and the Raiders I obviously am a big believer in, so it came down to the Pumpkins and Steelers. Both have been inconsistent, but only one is kind of a mess right now, and that is the Steelers. They have virtually no offensive identity or playmakers. They have scored a total of 69 points in their past six games and have gone 2-4 during that span. Defensively, they are fine, but they need to be elite in order to carry this pedestrian offense, and that just hasn't been the case. They don't have the hardest schedule remaining, but three are on the road where they have gone 1-4 this season. With so many AFC teams in the playoff hunt, I just think they are primed to let it all slip away.

Supplanting Team: New England Patriots

The Pats were my dark, dark horse AFC candidate before the season began because if they somehow found a way to be about .500 at the midway mark, their second half schedule was beyond favorable. Now that schedule analysis, that isn't quite the case now as the Bengals are doing much better than expected, but in place, they are getting a Dolphins team in a bit of an offensive rut right now and might still be down three OL starters (and possibly more depending on Week 13) when they play. Given how hot they have been and their defense landing in the Top 10, the Pats might even be in play for the AFC East believe or not, but I'm starting small with them.

14. Bears 4-8
15. Panthers 4-8
16. 49ers 4-8

Packers earn a playoff spot with a win

The 49ers have an extremely wacky path to the playoffs, but it requires for the Wildcats, Pumpkins, Giants, and Seahawks to virtually every game (I believe the Seahawks would have to beat the Wildcats in their remaining matchup) and 49ers win every game remaining as they can't win tiebreakers except division over Seahawks at 8-8. They need to be in sole position of the second Wild Card spot to earn one.

Panthers have an even wackier path to the playoffs that requires everything that the 49ers have to do but also win out themselves to earn a head-to-head tiebreaker over the 49ers.

I think a lot of my offensive problems stem from the HB position. Jamario is usually fantastic, if injury prone, and I underestimated just how good Moore was for me last season. I guess I thought I'd be able to just pick someone up or plug in my backup and get similar numbers to Kestahn if Jamario got hurt. And I was completely wrong, it was more on the HBs than the O-line / system.

I think all my strategy tweaks have been counter productive too. Has done great for the defense but has completely stifled the offense.

Also losing my best player for the rest of the season hurts. McClain was probably in the running for DPOTY (or like in the choice of 5) so him going down is going to screw me probably.

I'd say I am already out of the playoffs as there's no way I even go 3-1 nevermind 4-0 that might actually be required. Said for awhile I was looking at 8-8

Oh lord, I just reread my summary.

Somehow I ended up having my punter playing QB? Despite entering the game with 3 fully healthy QBs? They also knocked out my best player for the season and presumably early in the game given his backups stats. And then they were only able to win the game due to a 4th quarter comeback including a PR TD

I demand an overturning of the result on account of the Bengals being dirty as hell!

Screw the playoffs, 12 teams make that. I'm interested in the Offensive Rookie of the Year race (and not just because a player on my team might win >_>)

By sheer volume of opportunities and counting stats, Gordon will win Madden's ORotY. However, with his horrible efficiency (he is second-to-last in YPC at 3.6), users might gravitate toward #5 rec yards leader Odell Beckham Jr., rookie rec TD leader Justin Blackmon, part-time starting QB Aaron Murray with the 90+ passer rating, or a commissioner's choice at OL (probably OT Jack Conklin at this point).

What about defensive rookie of the year? I know Richardson has a decent amount of sacks but not sure if he had done enough other stuff to be in the running

DRotY favors players that produce across the board, something that I agree with, so they tend to favor LBs and Ss. From when I last looked at Madden's Top 5 a few in-game weeks ago, it included 3 LBs (Kwon Alexander, Kyle Emanuel, and Elandon Roberts), 1 S (Keanu Neal), and a DE (Joey Bosa).
