So, I went to popeyes after jonesing on it all last night. I get there and order the 10 piece for $15, all legs, spicey.

10 minutes later I get my order, and it's a normal mixed order (probably spicey I have no clue), so I go back up and say hey, I ordered all legs spicey, she even called back to have them drop.

They apologize and put the chicken back, and I sit down and wait.

15 minutes later they call me back up, woot i'ts all legs and spicey this time for sure.

I go take a seat to eat some (probably not all 10), and the chicken is pink in the middle and very undercooked.

I simply went up and asked them to cook them some more, but when they saw how undercooked it is, they also gave me a full refund, so I got the chicken for free!!

It did take forever though, another 15-20 minutes until the next batch was done, but at least this one was actually done.

So it was free, but it took me like 40 minutes of waiting to get it....still...free chicken is free chicken!!

I got free pizza before. I ordered a pizza. When it was done, I went up to pay and she was like, "Don't worry about it." I tried to explain, but she said it was fine.

I got Subway free a couple of times. Once, I think this girl had a crush on me. She worked at the subway next to the store. Another time, I was having trouble with my bank. I went off to the side to call them, and they fixed whatever the problem was. I went back to pay, but the cop in line behind me had already paid for me. That was really cool of him. I was in my uniform, so that may have been why.

I also got Taco Bell for free. I was at the airport with a bunch of other military members. Going home for the holidays while in tech school. The airport mentioned the military members on the PA. And people were basically fighting to pay for our food. When I got the the counter to order, they said it was already paid for.

Then there are all the time we get stuff for free on Veteran's Day, and when people randomly pay for us, as well...

I got you beat. I ordered tamales from Pappasitos which is far from my home. So when I got there I was told my order of a dozen tamales for 14 dollars wasnt ready as they didnt have any made. Which when I called they said they did. They said I could wait for 40 minutes to make new ones or get a refund. I told them I drove across San Antonio to get tamales and I dont feel like waiting. So he complimented my fajita order AND gave me two 50 dollar "manager gift cards" to make up for a 14 dollar order.

I don't remember ever getting free food before (although when I was married my wife would complain sometimes and get a discount or the meal for free....was pretty much the biggest cause of arguments (as I hated her doing that).

Even when I was in the military (although it was freaking 30 years ago) I never got free meals!!

And yeah, the first mistake wasn't that bad, I mean, who wants all legs instead of legs/breasts/thighs, but the answer is ME!!! So I can kinda understand (it was on the ticket though, they checked).

They dropped the chicken for me on the second time (Cause they didn't have enough legs, even though I gave them a heads up before even ordering), which is why it was under cooked, they didn't cook it long enough in a rush to get it out to me I guess. Have not had that problem any other time.

I have had people give me extra food though, or deals etc, I used to think it was cause maybe they had a crush on me or something. I'm too old now, so it must just be that people are nice, or like me or something lol.

Some places are weird with the military discounts. Some places are all over it. Though one restaurant said I had to be in uniform to get it. But I was on leave, so...

I do sometimes get extra food. Though, its usually a mistake. And its small things like an extra wing or chicken nugget or something. Usually not something big...

Though, I have had friends give me extra stuff at restaurants, as well...

And if we went to the Subway at night before they close, they would usually give us all the leftover cookies. They were all nice at the subway.

Their inability to pay attention to details, whether it's entering the order, reading the order or cooking the order, all point to a general lack of ability to do their job despite clearly defined procedures. For what ever reason those mistakes were made, I wouldn't trust any the food they cooked.

Thats fine if you dont. I wouldnt hold it against them as people make mistakes. And the mistake was just giving him mixed instead of all legs. Which isnt that bad. Restaurant have even made mistakes before. It happens...
