19 y/o Audrey Lorber from Staten Island, New York has been in Russian JAIL for WEEKS after she was caught with 19 grams of MEDICAL MARIJUANA while on vacation with her mom!!

She was arrested at Pulkovo Airport when Russian Agents found the weed worth about $375 smackers

She was prescribed for medical marijuana in the US which she showed the agents but a Russian court said it does not apply to the territory of the Russian Federation

She plead guilty to the charges and is now awaiting trial

Her most recent instagram post was back in July 22 that showed her touring the country with her mom, Rochelle as they were seen giggling at the edge of the Gulf of Finland

Her boss at Waterside Restaurant said he talked to Rochelle 2 weeks ago who was desperately trying to get her daughter out of jail

Joey Guli said "She's hysterical. She moved out there and got an apartment just to try to get Audrey on house arrest but they ddin't give it to her. It's disgusting what they did. They are trying to throw the book at her"

He said Audrey is a stellar employee who has worked at Waterrside for several summers in between terms at Pace University

She's a film major who is attending the school on scholarship and maintains a 4.0 gpa as her boss said Audrey has a career ahead of her and wants to be in the movie industry

He said he's never seen her smoking marijuana or visibly high while at work as it's unclear why she was prescribed it

Russia however said the cannabis she was caught with was purchased in the US but that she used it for "personal consumption"

A US Statement Dept told Dailymail that they are aware of a US Citizen arrest in Russia and will stand ready to provide all appropriate consular services but can't comment

Russia imprisons more people per capita for drug crimes than any other nation in Europe with 1/4 of its prisoners are for drug related offenses

Medication can always be a legal issue when going abroad, better have that figured out before leaving.
And considering the current international marijuana conflict, I would not be surprised if Russia is really happy at the chance to make an example out of an US citizen.

I could've swore I posted in this topic already, but with all of the crap lately and/or occasionally using my dying laptop, it might not have gone through.

At any rate, at the time of that post, I assumed she had just stupidly gotten in trouble trying to bring it into the country, but other articles mention photos taken of her around Russia so apparently it didn't happen when she was just arriving (something I only learned because I was glancing through that Heavy.com article to verify that she's actually 19).

I just googled her name and one of the top results is an ABC story (posted 5 days ago, according to Google) that lists her as being 19 in the title. An article from Heavy.com (which, while a sketchy alt-news site, has no real motive to make up her age) also lists it as 19. And I'm assuming Ducky took this from a NY Post article which explicitly mentions that she's 19 as well ("Audrey Lorber, 19, was arrested at Pulkovo Airport...")
