The sequel trilogy can redeem itself with Episode 9 at least, but even if that's great I still find it unlikely that it will surpass the Prequels. I do think Both TFA and TLJ are certainly better made movies than any of the Prequels. ST doesn't have amazing characters or anything but it has nothing remotely as bad as Jar Jar or ep2 Anakin and Padme. The most bearable PT characters are Qui-Gon, Obi and Darth Maul, and one of those doesn't even talk lol.
