What a beautiful-looking game. Loved that game to pieces. Then again I'm one of the few who liked the Batmobile despite its overuse.

The Batmobile is the least of the game's issues. Predator Rooms were pretty much ruined with feature bloat; enemies have like 30 tools against you but Batman has 300 anyway. Villain quests were wet cardboard with how each character is a glorified hub for a mission type, I mean what fucking lazy design. And Riddler... like, who the fuck out here thinks it's fun to jog around and clicking at 5000 dumb contraptions for the third or fourth game in a row.

In retrospect, I feel the opposite. Graphically it's still among the best looking PS4 titles for the system but the story was kinda lackluster and overloaded with plot holes and tank battles. Rocksteady dropped the ball on it compared to AA and AC.

I thought Predator and Combat gameplay was pretty fun, though AR Challenges really gives those parts time to shine. I will agree that the side missions were a step down from City and Origins where they were actual mini-stories providing gameplay variety.

I wish he behaved more like Batman in his boss battle. Like being able to do takedowns on you from hiding and so forth.

I think the game feels more complete when you get the season of infamy DLC which adds 4 additional villains to go after. Theres a lot I love about AK, the gliding and combat especially. I also like seeing the jail getting full throughout the night the more things you check off. However for me it fell into the Assassins Creed Unity catagory where they littered the map with too many collectables thus making it feel like a chore more than a satisfaction for finding a riddler trophy. I still say Asylum has the best ratio of puzzles/riddles/trophies to actual game content.

My biggest gripe was making deathstroke a tank battle. Im still mad orgins had him be a early boss fight for a newbie batman though. Honestly felt deathstroke should have kicked ass but simply fail to kill him only for batman to come back later in the game and win

Knight definitely needed a stronger villain and the Knight himself being who everyone thought he was even when the devs went "Nuh uh isn't him!!!" was super eye rolling. The Joker segments were real good though.

Yeah there was a definite lack of planning in previous games fpr this entry. If they wanted the identity of the knight to be secret they should have mentioned jason in a previous game so they didnt have to mention him in this one until the reveal

Me i didnt like it at first but it grew on me. I think story wise orgins was my favorite. Gameplay wise was city though. I get batman is beyond OP for what a regular human should be but fighting and beating half his entire rogues gallery all in one night while dying from a poison is just ridiculous. So yeah couldnt take the story of city very seriously.

he tried to do a mark hamill impression which is dumb. ends up sounding fake and less skilled. i learned semi-recently that some people actually thought it was mark hamill, which i find extraordinarily surprising

he should have done his own thing imo

Even then it kinda would be weird if young Joker didn't even remotely sound like he did in the other games. I'd understand casting his voice differently if it was an entirely separate universe though.

Asylum was the only one that was feasible from a story standpoint, honestly. Knight, for example, probably lasts like close to 15 hours or something if you rush the main story and it too is supposed to all take place on Halloween night.

Titan joker killed asylum for me. They really couldn't figure out any other way to make joker a decent final boss?

My only gripe with orgins story as i stated in another post was deathstroke getting beat by a relatively inexpirenced batman.

I found the game to be very disappointing. Arkham Knight was exactly who we all thought he was going to be. Scarecrow was just Hugo Strange 2.0 and we didn't even get any fear sequences like the ones back in Arkham Asylum. The loose ends from Arkham City amounted to nothing. Hush and Azrael did not deliver in Arkham Knight. The tankmobile felt overused. The ending was disappointing. Predator rooms were disappointing.

I have replayed Arkham Asylum and Arkham City many times. I have replayed Arkham Origins. I will probably never replay Arkham Knight.

Yeah, that's basically the only blemish in the story in my eyes. I feel with a few tweaks the Joker encounter just before his transformation would've been perfect.

Personally i dont remember much of the story but I only played it once. Played city first so gameplay wise it felt like a downgrade. I basically just remember a few key things. Batman takes joker to the asylum where he promptly manages to take it over a doctor was expirementing with venom/titan and joker gets ahold of it.

Personally I felt city sorta handled joker being the villain better. Him getting someone else to do the fighting for him. Though I would have taken him just having a mob of the really crazy patients attacking you constantly and you only get a few chances here and there to land a few punches on the joker himself.

Cant remember what it cost but I sorta enjoyed red hoods. Wish it had been a actual campaign rather than just what it was. But I was surprised to see them actually imply he kills black mask and let you use his guns. One of my biggest bitches about playable deathstroke in orgins was no guns or sword.

Id say i enjoyed nightwings dlc but one predator section was frustrating. Never finished robins or catwomans.

People who complain about the collectibles aren't remembering things correctly. AC had 400 Riddler challenges, AK had half that. And it's more personal preference, but I prefer AK's method of actually having a mild puzzle behind most/all of its trophies compared to AC's method of "well, we'll just put like 200 of them on a random roof or behind a breakable wall."
