Bernie is the only legitimate Dem on a stage of con men. If he doesn't win, I will be depressed and wait for another couple of group of boomers to die off before we can get a good president, which will unfortunately include Bernie.

Well, there's Tulsi and Yang who actually mean well. I see no reason why they would get ahead of Bernie though.

Until then, it's endless war and lies for dumb people 24/7.

I mean, the guy got arrested for handcuffing himself to a protesting black woman. He's the modern MLK. MLK was nearly identical to Bernie politically. Not that people would know, companies like RAM use his speeches to try and convince people to buy their cars, in the same speech MLK said we shouldn't slave away for fancy cars. Biden was pushing busing segregation, as we all know now. (thanks Biden)

He's the modern FDR. He's always on the right side of the issues in retrospect.

I digest at least an hour of non-mainstream media politics a day (just straight watching of debates, town halls and interviews), and there are more capable people on that stage to run our country than some geriatric puppet who is pandering to the millennials.

Thats good that you watch debates, town halls, and interviews. I think wed be better off if everyone does that.

But... and I say this in the most respectful way possible... your digestive system might not be up to par. Its definitely getting enough fiber seeing as your not a republican, so thats good.

You can agree that an A+ student, a B- student, and an F student can all watch a town hall, interview, and unfiltered debate and all walk out with different perspectives.

The country has been sold to the highest bidder. Each one on that stage, with the exception of Bernie, is going to give us the same old shit we got before Trump.

And although I would prefer Obama infinitely over Trump, its this fact that gave us Trump in the first place.

Choosing Bernie is like having a nice, home cooked, GMO-free, organic meal.

Choosing an establishment Democrat is like having some fast food.

And choosing a Republican is like choosing some Kool-Aid laced with anti-freeze.

Yang is anti-tie! Like him so much more now! Hadn't even noticed he wasn't wearing one, shows how "important" they are.

Well, if nothing else, at least many of their closing statements are distinct enough to be differentiating.

De Blasio's closing statement was garbo. iirc, it was just something about Trump working for millionaires and pitching his site to "tax the hell out of them" or some such. Wasn't a De Blasio fan before and still not liking him after the debate. He's an also-ran, so I guess it doesn't matter.

Michael Bennet's was kinda soft.

Inslee's was just a commitment to fight climate change, which... meh.

Gillibrand's was a silly complaint about Trump dividing the nation. Beyond that, she had a strong impassioned plea.

Tulsi Gabbard was an anti-war remark. Pretty strong closing statement.

Castro's was some generic labor and prosperity statement.

Yang's was hilarious since he started with the media talking about how he didn't wear a tie. Going to admit that I'm seeing *some* of his appeal vis-a-vis his personality. It's a decent pitch, but he's pushing UBI which is a deal-breaker for me.

Booker's was a half-decent discussion of the American Dream, including an anecdote about his grandfather (?). Decent enough closing remark.

...I just realized that not everybody has pitched their website and asked for donations. Most of them have, though.

Harris's whole spiel was calling Trump a predator. Less substance than the others so far.

Biden's is... wtf? He talks about 4 more years of Trump then the possibility of 8 more years. What? Probably the most disappointing closing remarks out of anybody's.

At this point, I'm kinda wondering how long some of these candidates are going to stay in the race. There are too damn many people here and a lot of them aren't making an impact.

I was floored when she attacked Harris. And the CNN pundits afterward -- which I had going kinda as background noise -- were making a big deal of it. It's the kind of takedown that seems like it could almost end her candidacy.
