Also, my flavour is still Doom the Gyarados, not Dr. Doom. I don't think the pokemon has a license to practice medicine but I haven't read the fic for years. A doc fake claim would make no sense. I also eluded to my anti-Chris weapon part way through day one, it wasn't a spur of the moment reaction to staring down a gun.

I'm not saying you'd claim Doom as a Doctor

I still dont think I defeated my own argument though. I think all the power roles have fit their flavour. Thats why Im willing to believe Cam and or Ben are scum. Bens claim with all the other power roles doesnt fit.

What play are you talking about? Ben being the receiver and Cam being the scanner? That's a terrible play for 2 scum at this point. Completely terrible. You wouldn't link the last two scum on the board. You'd just let Cam die and hope Ben can hold the trust of town from killing two scum

If you think Cam is town (Ben), do you:

A) Trust him to make the right call in the endgame

B) Trust people to not lynch literally Voldemort when things get tenser?

Personally I lean scum on him, but it seems like today is approaching a flowchart of eliminating those without scans and all I have is my sparking personality I can argue from a utility point of view. I can be "confirmed" by 5tar today, Cam can't. Although I have no great mafia skill, I still trust myself over the self proclaimed god-emperor Cam. This is entertaining that we're both town, just unconfirmed and one is a POE sacrificial lamb. Lynching me isn't a horrendous idea, aside from the 0% chance of hitting scum. Better now than when it costs us the game - I am pretty suspicious. But I think anything that applies to me applies double to Cam, so here we are.

Of course I'm trying to escape. See my previous post. If it's a cage fight between the two unscanned players, I'll go for the eyes.

I said it was a horrible move for scum. Thats why I dont get it. I think judging just on flavour alone that Ben could still be scum and I think Cam is just being a fool.

IF Ben is scum and bussed two spent powers then I can only assume that either SBell or Lopen are scum and this entire play was to buy time.

IF Ben is scum we mislynch Lea today as an unknown. I die to night kill and Ben finds another scum that is actually town.
Another mislynch.

Ben dies.
Another night kill.
Final 3 of SBell, Lopen and another.

Is it by chance that Ben scanned the guy that had done nothing but push hard for Town mZero lunch evereyday. Cleared him town the one day he actually did anything which was to push one scum kill over another then try to accuse me of being scum.

The next night he cleared Lopen the only guy that pushed really hard for his lynch. If Bens gamble as cop claim didnt work then Lopen looks better than ever.

I guess what Im saying is if I die tonight and Ben hits scum we need to be very suspicious of why he scanned them and what evidence there is of scum play.

Or we straight up lunch Ben and lynch either Lea, Lopen or SBell based on the flip. This is only half serious.

You do realize the only reason I even have any suspicion is because of Ben's cop claim right? I did not need his help to be obv town before that point.

The Voldemort thing is actually something he's been honest and consistent about. If he had a scum team of evil flavor and a safelist of nice flavors there is no way he leaks out "my flavor is evil I'm a little scared" or whatever he said. And the insanity comes in when he later says he thought maybe he was secretly scum who was told they were town... but it's still his honest reaction to having such a flavor! And makes sense now with town flavor scanner in the game. It also basically makes Harry Potter surefire scum if we're trying to flavor meta all of this

In the same way Sbell has played in such a way as to draw a scan, I would argue Lopen has played the opposite. The first two days he was a shining bastion of towniness for all to behold. No one would ever scan the man on everyone's town list. It was only when he caught Ben Madness that his reputation went down. I would be pretty surprised if Lopen was the Godfather.

Hell, you were banking on my slot being Cop then to try and lynch Ben. You don't need me to explain why that's beneficial for scum given the flips from the previous two days.

Wifom, but I'll humour you. If you're scum, you know that my slot is town. HB was against Ben's claim, and didn't really elaborate on the reason. Him actually being Cop is a reasonable explanation for that, since he isn't scum. Therefore, there's not really much to lose by straight up asking if I'm Cop, and a hell of a lot to gain (two potentially saved teammates, and I think you said it yourself, it didn't matter if I had scanned anyone, the right move would be to reveal I'm that situation. Dead Cop in a few nights AND probably a dead Ben that day.).

I didn't make a specific attempt to see why HB thought Ben was scum. HB's opinions are basically that of a flipped vanilla to me, but if I wanted to particularly look at confirmed town's opinions from earlier in the game I'd look at someone like Chris or Corrik who I trust to be right fairly often, instead of HB (sorry).

With regards to why I backed off Ben, I saw that Ben's claim was fairly bad on paper, based on the limited context I was provided. However, Death was fairly obvious-looking scum after some time, and I was confident Pez was too leading up to EoD. You were my only other scum read late on that day, and you pushing Ben to try and salvage half your team made a lot of sense.

As I said, low risk move, and more wifom. You don't lose an awful lot and would gain a ton of my slot was cop, regardless of how hopeful it is.

Most of my strategy as scum is "that's too ridiculous to do as scum, he has to be town". Wifom is great and the game is so much more fun when the scumteam use it and you can think afterwards "you magnificent bastard".
