Is your argument that if you are strongly Pro-Drugs that you support people driving under the influence? Simply state the exact opposite of what is said in retort. If it doesn't make sense, then it didn't make sense when stated above. Tony was trying to use a personal attack to create a "sick burn". But all it really did was just make a comparison that didn't make sense.

It's a nonsensical comparison.

It is basically trying to compare that if you are against breaking the law you should be against breaking the law in every situation and if you ever do that your opinion is invalid.

I am pretty sure I have never said, "Hey, you should go get plastered tonight and drive home!"

There are people who have been frequent users of drugs for years and are strongly anti-drugs now. Is their opinion invalid? Is it ironic?

It's pretty much only ironic if they are still using drugs every day while talking down on a drug user.

I could see a tact of "Isn't it ironic that you put down people who use drugs every day while you just ODed last night"?

That's a bit sad, ironic, and hypocritical.

I don't think it is very "ironic" that someone states they are "strongly anti-drugs" because they did something illegal while using a legal substance before!

Hell, some people would even consider their past mistakes warping their futures stances as growing as a person!

Though I have always been strongly anti-drugs for my entire life. If someone is gonna blow coke or smoke weed or eat shrooms around me. Then whatever. That's their business. Just don't let it affect my life or try to force it on others. *shrug*

at the risk of posting a serious reply in a topic that probably doesn't merit one

i think there's a big difference between users being outcast because they have genuinely awful views about how human beings should treat each other, compared to having silly (and maybe trolly) views about console wars
