Gotta get a new controller anyway and am probably gonna switch from the 360 controller I lost recently instead of getting another one.

The d-pad though: does it feel good? With or without comparing to the 360, just wanna be sure.

I think it does but I have no idea how else to describe it for you in greater detail

It's very good. The Switch Pro might be the best feeling controller out there, and the pad is part of that.

360 pad may be the worst speaking purely from the perspective of the pad so yeah not a comparison there

I feel like it's a little too stiff, or there's too much action? Like I feel like I have to press a little more than I would like, which slows me down. It's good, it's just not as good as Wii or Wii U.

I had some problems with one where I would try to wall jump up in NSMBU and it would randomly butt-stomp. My other one didnt do it though.

The false inputs people talk about are there, but you kinda have to try in order to get it to happen. Overall it's a bit small too. It's better than the DualShock dpad imo, but still not very great, and it's in a weird spot that makes it awkward to play 2D games.

Honestly for most games I think I prefer the 4 distinct buttons of the Switch in handheld mode or with a grip controller to the Pro? Even on games like Street Fighter for the most part the distinct buttons are good, the only thing that's harder is churning butter for 360 and 720 motions but I just use the left stick for that.

The only issue is that then I'm using a joycon on the right too, and the right stick sometimes gets in my way when I'm using the face buttons on games like MK11.

People seem to hate the dpad buttons, but I think they're great for precision. I can't play Tetris 99 without them.

I love em but I built my own Hitbox to play fighting games with so I may be atypical when it comes to directional inputs.
