Are we talking about a single entry or a franchise?
In some cases we're talking single entry (Dumb & Dumber) but in others we are talking an entire franchise (Resident Evil). Check what's in the parentheses next to each entrant.

We are exclusively looking for officially released entries into each series in a single form of media, i.e. "The Simpsons" only covers the TV series and not the movie. "The Beatles" only covers music that was released on their albums and not quotes from interviews or their movies.

I don't like the quotes you chose! There are better ones!

Post them then! I am choosing popular examples to jog peoples' memories. If an entrant makes it to the next round I will change it up and I'm always taking suggestions.

Unfortunately for Harry and Lloyd IOUs aren't legal tender in this contest. After receiving a burst of legit votes at the beginning YGOA turned up that Brooklyn Rage and sent this match straight to the graveyard.

This one was personally pretty surprising to me as I thought the days of YGOA quotes were long behind this board, but any long time B8er most likely remembers the entire year or so where every single person here was literally obsessed with quoting Tristen Taylor of all characters.

Dumb & Dumber was our first qualifying 2-seed and one of the first things nominated, and honestly, I have a big place in my heart for it, but I guess that don't mean shit in the face of a quote juggernaut.

Will YGOA be able to pull out a second trump card and make its way pass Seinfeld? We'll see.

I was going to bring this up in the post-match write-up but a TON of the most famous Sonic quotes are from various cartoons or non-canon games

A lot of his Brawl taunts are regularly quoted but he never actually spoke most of those lines in his own games.

Then you have Shadow the Hedgehog (the game) getting quoted a ton but I'm still not even sure if that falls under the Sonic franchise blanket even though it's canon.
